District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DHFWS), Dakshin Dinajpur under the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Government of West Bengal, has invited online applications for 8 contractual positions across 6 different health-related roles. Dental Surgeon (DEIC) - Rs. 42,000/month
- Qualification: B.D.S. from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India
- Registration: Valid registration with the West Bengal Dental Council
- Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in a Government or Private Hospital, recognized Nursing Home, Multispecialty Private Clinic, or Corporate Polyclinic (including house staffship period)
Dental Technician (DEIC) - Rs. 22,000/month
- Qualification: Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution
- Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in the same capacity
Audiologist & Speech Therapist - Rs. 25,000/month
- Qualification: Bachelor in Audiologist & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) or B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) from an RCI recognized institute
Laboratory Technician (NTEP) - Rs. 22,000/month
- Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a Government-approved institution
- Additional: Basic knowledge of computers is required
- Preferred: Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) from a Government-approved institution, and one year experience in Sputum smear microscopy
Clinical Psychologist (NMHP) - Rs. 30,000/month
- Qualification (Option 1): Recognized qualification in Clinical Psychology from an institution approved and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) under the RCI Act, 1992
- Qualification (Option 2): Post Graduation in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology AND M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or Medical and Social Psychology from a UGC-recognized university, with a full-time 2-year course including supervised clinical training, approved by RCI
- Experience: Minimum 1 year from any recognized institution
- Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
Block Epidemiologist (XV FC) - Rs. 35,000/month
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science or Epidemiology, or BAMS/BUMS/BHMS with MPH
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in advance MS Office is required
- Desirable: Ph.D. or M.Phil., and experience in Public Health
All candidates must be permanent residents of West Bengal. All essential qualifications must be completed on or before 06 April 2026.
Age Limit
- For Dental Surgeon, Dental Technician, Audiologist & Speech Therapist, Lab Technician, and Block Epidemiologist: You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 01 January 2026.
- For Laboratory Technician (NTEP) and Block Epidemiologist: Minimum age is 19 years and 21 years respectively.
- For Clinical Psychologist (NMHP): You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 01 April 2026.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be given as per Government of West Bengal norms for reserved categories.

These are consolidated monthly payments. No separate DA, HRA, or TA is provided. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

Clinical Psychologist (NMHP)

Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services at the assigned health facility in Dakshin Dinajpur district
- Handle patient care duties specific to the assigned specialization — dental care, laboratory diagnostics, psychological counseling, or epidemiological surveillance
- Maintain proper records of patients, treatments, lab reports, and health data as required by NHM and XV FC programs
- Work closely with the district health team and report to the Chief Medical Officer of Health
- Follow all health protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control measures at the workplace
- Assist in community health programs, awareness campaigns, and disease prevention activities in the district
- Prepare periodic reports and submit data to the district and state health authorities
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
BDS / Diploma / PG Degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
Preferred Qualification
BMLT with experience in Sputum smear microscopy (for Lab Technician); Ph.D./M.Phil. with Public Health experience (for Block Epidemiologist)

Exam Pattern

- Academic Merit: Class XII (10 marks) + Degree/Diploma (30 marks) + Higher Qualification (10 marks) — all proportionate marking
- Experience: 1 mark per completed year, up to 5 marks maximum
- Written Test: 30 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
Laboratory Technician (NTEP)
- Academic Merit: Class X (5 marks) + Class XII (10 marks) + DMLT (15 marks) + BMLT (10 marks additional)
- Experience: Up to 10 marks — scored differently for Government vs Private experience. 5+ years Govt experience gets full 10 marks.
Clinical Psychologist (NMHP)
- Graduation: 30 marks (proportionate)
- Post Graduation: 30 marks (proportionate)
- M.Phil.: 10 marks
- Experience: Up to 15 marks (up to 2 years = 5, up to 3 years = 10, above 3 years = 15)
- Interview: 15 marks
Block Epidemiologist (XV FC)
- Degree Merit: 50 marks (proportionate for M.Sc./BAMS/BUMS/BHMS+MPH)
- Ph.D./M.Phil.: 10 marks additional
- Experience in Public Health: 2 marks per completed year, up to 10 marks (max 5 years)
- Computer Test: 20 marks — qualifying marks is 50%
