District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DHFWS), Jhargram has announced a contractual recruitment drive for 16 posts across 14 different designations under NHM, AYUSH, NOHP, NPHCE, NMHP, and XV FC programmes. The posts are spread across Rural Hospitals, Urban Health Wellness Centres, and Polyclinics in Jhargram District. Both full-time and part-time positions are available -- part-time specialist doctors will work at least 3 hours per day, thrice a week. Only permanent residents of West Bengal can apply.

Who Can Apply?
For Specialist Medical Officer (G & O, Pediatrician, Medicine, Ophthalmologist):
- Qualification: MBBS from an NMC-recognized institute with Post-Graduate degree, DNB, or Diploma in the relevant speciality.
- Must be registered under WBMC (West Bengal Medical Council).
For Medical Officer (GDMO / XVFC):
- Qualification: MBBS from an NMC-recognized institute with one year compulsory internship.
- Must be registered under WBMC.
For Psychiatrist:
- Qualification: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree (MD/DNB) or Diploma (DPM) in Psychiatry from a UGC-recognized university.
- Must be recognized by NMC/MCI/NBEMS and registered with WBMC.
- Desirable: Experience in Psychiatry or Public Health Service.
For Multi Rehabilitation Worker:
- Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy with at least 2 years of working experience in a hospital.
- Desirable: Master's Degree in Physiotherapy.
For Dental Technician:
- Qualification: 10+2 from WBCHSE with Physics, Chemistry & Biology, plus 2-year Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration from West Bengal Dental Council and 1 year experience in a WB Government hospital or clinical establishment.
For Medical Record Keeper:
- Qualification: Graduate from any recognized university with experience in the health sector.
- Preference for candidates with a Computer Application or Financial Accounting course.
For LDC & Group-D (AYUSH):
- Qualification: Retired State Government Employees who are physically and mentally fit.
- Must have computer knowledge (for LDC).

Salary
- Specialist Medical Officer (G & O / Pediatrician): Rs. 70,000 per month (with increment as per NHM Guidelines)
- Psychiatrist: Rs. 70,000 per month for PG Degree holders or Rs. 65,000 per month for PG Diploma holders
- Medical Officer (GDMO / XVFC): Rs. 60,000 per month
- Part-time Specialist Medical Officers: Rs. 3,000 per day (at least 3 hours per day, thrice a week)
- Multi Rehabilitation Worker: Rs. 18,000 per month
- Dental Technician: Rs. 22,000 per month
- Medical Record Keeper: Rs. 15,000 per month
- LDC (AYUSH): Rs. 10,000 per month

Selection Process
The selection process varies by post. Most posts follow an academic merit-based evaluation:
- Screening of Documents: Your application and documents will be verified for eligibility.
- Academic Merit (Full Marks: 100 for most posts): Proportionate marking based on MBBS, PG/DNB/Diploma scores. For non-medical posts, marks from Class 10, Class 12, Graduation, and Computer Application are considered.
- Experience Marks (for some posts): 2 marks for each completed year of experience (up to a maximum of 5-20 marks depending on the post).
- Interview (for some posts): 10-15 marks allotted for personal interview. Applicable for Psychiatrist, part-time Specialist MOs, Multi Rehabilitation Worker, Dental Technician, Medical Record Keeper, LDC, and Group-D posts.
- Written Test (Dental Technician only): 30 marks for written test.
If the aggregate marks are equal after final selection, preference will be given to the candidate who is senior in age as on 1st January of the year of publication.

Responsibilities
- Provide medical care and treatment to patients at the assigned Rural Hospital, UHWC, or Polyclinic
- Handle OPD consultations, emergency cases, and routine health check-ups as per programme guidelines
- Assist in implementing National Health Mission programmes and health awareness campaigns in Jhargram district
- Keep accurate records of patients, treatment details, and medicines dispensed
- Follow all protocols set by the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), Jhargram
- Work in coordination with other health staff and specialists for referral and follow-up cases
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain data as required by the NHM/AYUSH/XVFC programme heads

Minimum Qualification
MBBS from NMC-recognized institute (for Medical posts); BPT with 2 years experience (for Rehabilitation Worker); 10+2 with Diploma (for Dental Technician); Graduate (for Medical Record Keeper)
Preferred Qualification

Consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from Rs. 8,000 (Group-D AYUSH) to Rs. 70,000 (Specialist Medical Officer/Psychiatrist) as per NHM Guidelines
