ECHS Ahmedabad Polyclinic Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), operating under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring contractual staff for its polyclinics in the Ahmedabad region of Gujarat. These positions are for one year and can be renewed based on your performance. Ex-Servicemen will get preference during the selection process. Who Can Apply?

Para Medical Posts (Nursing Assistant and Pharmacist):

• Nursing Assistant: You need a GNM or Diploma in Nursing, or a Class-I Nursing Assistant Course from the Armed Forces. At least 5 years of work experience is required.
• Pharmacist: You should have a B.Pharma degree, or 10+2 with Science stream along with a Diploma in Pharmacy. At least 3 years of work experience is needed.

Non-Medical Posts:

• Female Attendant: You should be literate with at least 5 years of experience in civil or Army Health Institutions.
• Peon: You need to have passed 8th class or hold a GD trade certificate from the Armed Forces. At least 5 years of work experience is required.
• Housekeeper: You should be literate with at least 5 years of work experience.
• Chowkidar: You need to have passed 8th class or hold a GD trade certificate from the Armed Forces.

Preference will be given to Ex-Servicemen across all posts.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is subject to performance and other conditions as mentioned against each post in the notification.
• The contract is for one year, renewable until the candidate reaches the maximum age limit.

Salary

• Nursing Assistant: Rs. 36,500 per month (fixed)
• Pharmacist: Rs. 36,500 per month (fixed)
• Female Attendant: Rs. 21,800 per month (fixed)
• Peon: Rs. 21,800 per month (fixed)
• Housekeeper: Rs. 21,800 per month (fixed)
• Chowkidar: Rs. 21,800 per month (fixed)

These are fixed monthly salaries for contractual appointments. No additional allowances have been mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. On the Job Training (OJT): Para Medical staff (Nursing Assistant and Pharmacist) will need to complete 10 days of unpaid OJT and get a certificate from the Officer-in-Charge of the Polyclinic before signing the contract.
2. Interview: All eligible candidates will be called for a walk-in interview on 07 April 2026. You must bring all your original certificates, mark sheets, experience documents, discharge book, PPO, service records, and 2 passport-size colour photographs.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

• Report to the Officer-in-Charge and support smooth daily operations of the polyclinic
