Who Can Apply?

For Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor:

• Qualification: As per the latest guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI). You need MBBS along with the required post-graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) and teaching experience as prescribed by NMC for each post level.
• Medical Registration: You must have an up-to-date State/NMC Medical Registration Certificate with all post-MBBS qualifications.

For Senior Resident:

• Qualification: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty as per NMC norms.

For Tutor/Demonstrator:

• Qualification: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification as per NMC guidelines.

Retired or working Professors may also apply for eligible posts. Candidates working in Government or Autonomous institutions should carry NOC from their employer.

Age Limit

• For Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor): Maximum 67 years as on 07 April 2026.
• For Senior Resident and Tutor/Demonstrator: Maximum 45 years as on 07 April 2026.
• Age Relaxation: As per the prevailing norms of Government of India for reserved categories.

The maximum tenure of engagement for teaching faculty is up to 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Salary

• Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 1,18,500 per month (Level 13) + Other Allowances
• Associate Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 78,800 per month (Level 12) + Other Allowances
• Assistant Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Level 11) + Other Allowances
• Senior Resident: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Level 11) + Other Allowances
• Tutor/Demonstrator: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 56,100 per month (Level 10) + Other Allowances

Non-medical officers, if selected, are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA). Contractual staff are not eligible for PF, Pension, Gratuity, or Medical Allowance.

Application Fee

• All Other Categories: Rs. 500
• Payment Mode: Through Demand Draft in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No.-1" payable at Ahmedabad

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in 2 stages:

1. Document Verification: You must appear before the Document Verification Committee on the interview date with all original documents and self-attested photocopies. Only candidates whose documents are successfully verified will proceed to the interview.
2. Personal Interview: Selection is based on your academic credentials and performance in the interview, conducted by a duly constituted selection board.

Results will be published on www.esic.gov.in and https://mcnaroda.esic.gov.in. Offer of appointment will be sent through email only.

2. Fill in the offline application form completely.
3. Prepare the Demand Draft of Rs. 500 (if applicable) in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No.-1" payable at Ahmedabad.
4. Collect all required documents (originals + self-attested photocopies) as listed in Section (J) of the notification.
5. Report at ESIC Medical College & Hospital Naroda-Bapunagar, Office of the Dean, 3rd Floor, Opp. Municipal Swimming Pool, Khokhra, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-380008.
6. Reporting time is 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on your department's scheduled interview date. Candidates arriving after 10:00 AM will be marked absent.
7. Submit the offline application form with all documents and Demand Draft for document verification.
8. After successful document verification, appear for the personal interview.

• Prepare and evaluate examination papers, assignments, and clinical assessments as directed
• Conduct research and publish papers in indexed medical journals as per NMC requirements
• Maintain proper records of teaching activities, patient data, and departmental activities
• Attend daily biometric attendance through the AEBAS system and follow all institutional rules
