Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree along with a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent in the relevant specialty. Your qualifications must meet the latest NMC regulation notification dated 30.06.2025.
• Medical Registration: You must hold an updated registration from NMC or a State Medical Council with all post-MBBS qualifications endorsed on it.
• Experience: Teaching and clinical experience as prescribed by the latest NMC regulations for the respective post level (Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor).
• NOC: If you are currently working in a Government, Autonomous, or Statutory institution, you should preferably carry an NOC from your employer at the time of interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 69 years as on 07 April 2026.
• The maximum tenure of engagement is till 70 years of age or 1 year (extendable up to 3 years), whichever comes first.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) is as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 13, Index 1 of 7th CPC — basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 per month plus allowances.
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 12, Index 1 of 7th CPC — basic pay of Rs. 78,800 per month plus allowances.
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 11, Index 1 of 7th CPC — basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month plus allowances.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as admissible under Central Government rules.
• Retired employees and pensioners can draw full pay without deduction and continue drawing their pension during the contractual engagement period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is based on:

1. Academic Credentials Review: Your educational qualifications, publications, research work, and teaching experience will be evaluated by the selection board.
2. Walk-in Interview: You will appear before a selection panel for a personal interview at the Dean's Office, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Andheri East, Mumbai.
3. Document Verification: All original documents will be verified before the interview or before issuing the appointment letter.

Results will be displayed on the ESIC recruitment section at www.esic.gov.in. Offer of appointment will be sent through email only.

• Conduct clinical rounds, supervise patient care, and manage cases in the hospital wards and OPD
• Guide and mentor resident doctors, interns, and postgraduate students in their academic and clinical work
• Prepare study materials, set question papers, and evaluate examinations as per university norms
• Conduct research, publish academic papers, and present findings at national and international conferences
• Participate in departmental meetings, hospital committees, and administrative duties assigned by the Dean
• Mark daily attendance on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) and maintain punctuality during scheduled working days
