This year, with the addendum notification, the total vacancies have increased from 71 to 213 posts. Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree from any university recognized by the UGC or established by an Act of Parliament/State Legislature.
• Candidates who have appeared in the final semester/year exam and are awaiting results can also apply for the Preliminary Examination. However, you must have your degree before the Main Examination.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen (or meet the specific nationality requirements mentioned in the detailed notification).
• Domicile: Must be a resident of Gujarat as per the rules specified for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS reservations.

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years

Age Relaxation

• SEBC/EWS/SC/ST Male (Gujarat origin): 5 years relaxation (max 40 years)

Salary

• Class-1 Posts: Pay Matrix Level 10 — Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month + other allowances (7th Pay Commission)
• Class-2 Posts: Pay Matrix Level 8 — Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month + other allowances (7th Pay Commission)
• Additional benefits include DA, HRA, medical allowance, pension, and other government allowances as per Gujarat state rules.

Selection Process

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective — Screening): 1 paper on General Studies — 200 marks, 180 minutes. This is only for screening; marks are NOT counted in the final merit.
2. Main Examination (Written — Descriptive):
   • Paper 1: Gujarati Language — 300 marks, 3 hours (Qualifying only, 25% minimum)
   • Paper 2: English Language — 300 marks, 3 hours (Qualifying only, 25% minimum)
   • Paper 3: Essay — 250 marks, 3 hours
   • Paper 4: General Studies-I — 250 marks, 3 hours
   • Paper 5: General Studies-II — 250 marks, 3 hours
   • Paper 6: General Studies-III — 250 marks, 3 hours
   • Paper 7: General Studies-IV — 250 marks, 3 hours
   • Total for Merit (Papers 3-7): 1,250 marks
3. Personal Interview: 150 marks

Final Merit: Mains Examination Marks (Papers 3 to 7) + Interview Marks = 1,400 marks total

3. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user
4. Fill in Personal Details, Communication Details, Education Details, and Experience Details
5. Upload your photograph (max 3.6 cm x 3.4 cm, white background, JPG format) and signature (max 2.5 cm x 0.5 cm, JPG format, max 10 KB)

• Handle administrative duties of the district or division assigned, including revenue collection, law and order, and public grievance redressal
• Manage and supervise government schemes and welfare programs at district and taluka levels
• Prepare and implement development plans for the assigned area in coordination with other departments
• Monitor public service delivery and ensure compliance with government policies and regulations
• Assist in maintaining law and order, crime investigation, and policing operations (for Deputy SP posts)
• Work on labour welfare, industrial relations, and enforcement of labour laws (for Labour Officer posts)
• Keep records and supervise cooperative societies, ensuring transparency and proper functioning (for Assistant District Registrar posts)
• Follow all government orders and directives related to municipal administration, excise, and social welfare as applicable to the assigned post
