IIM Calcutta has invited applications for 1 Administrative Officer (Regular) position through direct recruitment or deputation. Educational Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute with 55% marks
- Post-Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute is preferred
Experience
- 10 years of experience in Personnel/HR, Academic Administration, or General Administrative functions (Purchase, Maintenance, Medical, Transport, Hostel, Security, Facility Management)
- Experience can be from Central/State Government, Autonomous or Statutory organizations, PSUs, Universities, Research/Educational Institutions recognized by the Government of India, or reputed private organizations
- At least 5 years in supervisory posts and executive functions is mandatory
For Deputation
- Officers from Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs holding analogous posts on a regular basis, or with 5 years of regular service in Level-6 or equivalent
Age Limit
- Age: Preferably below 35 years
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government of India norms
Salary
- Pay Level: Level-10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500) of 7th CPC Pay Matrix
- Pre-revised: PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs. 5,400
- Additional benefits: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, LTC as per Institute rules
- Total minimum monthly take-home: approximately Rs. 1,10,000 (with current DA and allowances)

Responsibilities
- Handle Personnel and HR-related matters including recruitment, promotion, leave management, LTC, and MHRD queries, with knowledge of CCS/CCA Rules
- Assist in Academic Administration activities such as student registration, admission, class scheduling, examination scheduling, faculty coordination, grading, and convocation
- Manage Purchase-related matters including tendering, dealing with Government portals, and ensuring compliance with GFR (General Financial Rules)
- Oversee General Administrative functions including Estate and Maintenance, Medical services, Transport, Hostel management, Security, and Facility management
- Prepare and maintain administrative records, reports, and correspondence for various departments
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth administrative operations
- Follow all rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Institute and Government of India
- Perform any other relevant administrative duties as assigned by the Competent Authority

Post-Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute
