This is a Group A, Non-Faculty position on a fixed-term contract of 3 years, extendable based on performance. IIM Raipur Deputy FA&CAO Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

IIM Raipur, an Institute of National Importance established under the IIM Act, 2017, is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant to serve as its Deputy Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer. This is a senior-level finance role where you will work directly with the FA&CAO and the Board of Governors on budgetary planning, accounts finalisation, and financial compliance. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Chartered Accountancy (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, OR
• Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA / ICWA) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Accounts, Budgeting, Audit, and Financial Management
• At least 2 years at Pay Level 8 or above (or equivalent)
• Must have experience in finalisation of Annual Accounts and preparation of Balance Sheet
• Must have experience in preparing financial MIS reports and dashboards for senior management and Board-level audiences
• Must have experience in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
• Expert knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory compliance is essential
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential

Desirable Experience

• Experience in Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (IIMs, IITs, NITs, IISc, AIIMS) is preferred
• Knowledge of General Financial Rules (GFR-2017) and FR&SR
• Experience dealing with CAG and Statutory Auditors
• Proficiency in ERP / PFMS / accounting software and financial dashboard tools
• Experience in fund utilisation reports for Ministry of Education

Private Sector Candidates

• Must have last drawn a CTC of at least Rs. 1,00,000 per month
• Must upload Form 16 from the most recent financial year with the application

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years as on 21 April 2026 (the last date of application)
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/EWS candidates as per Government of India rules

Salary

• Pay Level 10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
• Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100 per month (minimum of Pay Level 10)
• Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable from time to time (currently around 58%)
• Additional allowances: House Rent Allowance (HRA), Children's Education Allowance, Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances
• Pay protection in line with last pay drawn may be offered to candidates from Government or Autonomous Institutes
• Relocation allowance as per institute policy

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting — Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage. Shortlisting is based on qualifications, experience, and profile fit.
2. Personal Interview — Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at IIM Raipur. Outstation candidates get II-AC railway fare reimbursement (to and fro, shortest route).
3. Document Verification — You must bring original certificates at the time of interview.
4. Medical Fitness — The selected candidate must produce a medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer at the time of joining.

• Assist the FA&CAO in all matters relating to financial and budgetary planning, control of accounts, and investment management
• Prepare and present budget estimates, revised estimates, and annual accounts of the Institute
• Design, develop, and maintain financial dashboards and visual MIS reports for the Board of Governors, Finance & Audit Committee, and senior management
• Prepare structured financial reports, fund utilisation statements, and budget vs. actuals analyses for Board and Committee meetings
• Prepare and submit fund utilisation reports and financial statements to the Ministry of Education and other Government funding agencies
• Maintain accounts in accordance with GFR-2017 and other prescribed rules, including PFMS
• Handle individual financial claims and process payments as per applicable rules
• Coordinate with CAG, Statutory and Internal Auditors, and ensure timely compliance with audit observations
