Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification (Same for All Posts):

  • Full-time regular Diploma in Engineering or Technology, OR
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Engineering or Technology in one of these branches: Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Communication, Computer Science, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, OR
  • M.Sc. Electronics

Experience Requirements (Varies by Post):

  • Sr. Project Manager/S&T: Minimum 15 years in erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of Signal and Telecom Systems for Railways, Metros, PSUs, or reputed private companies
  • Sr. Project Engineer/S&T: Minimum 10 years in similar S&T work. AutoCAD experience is desirable
  • Project Engineer/S&T: Minimum 5 years in similar S&T work, including experience in Railway/Metro project execution. AutoCAD experience is desirable

Experience must include supervision, planning, cable laying, signal foundation, location box foundation, LC-Gates, IBH, Auto Signalling, outdoor drawing finalisation, erection, testing, and commissioning of railway projects.

  • Maximum age: 45 years as on 01 January 2026
  • Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen is discretionary

Salary

  • Sr. Project Manager/S&T: Rs. 67,140 to Rs. 76,660 per month (consolidated, varies by city class: A/B/C)
  • Sr. Project Engineer/S&T: Rs. 50,060 to Rs. 57,140 per month (consolidated)
  • Project Engineer/S&T: Rs. 41,380 to Rs. 47,220 per month (consolidated)
  • Salary includes Basic Pay + DA + Other Allowances (HRA, Conveyance, Mobile Allowance)
  • Annual increment of 4% on consolidated salary after completing each year
  • Additional benefits: Life insurance reimbursement (Rs. 500/month), Medical Allowance (Rs. 500/month), Health policy premium reimbursement (Rs. 500/month)
  • Complementary Railway Pass: 2AC Class for Sr. Project Manager, 3AC Class for Sr. Project Engineer and Project Engineer
  • TA for official travel as per KRCL policy
  • Leave: 15 days earned leave per 6 months + 8 days casual leave per year

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a walk-in interview:

  1. Registration and Screening: Report at the venue between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Your documents and application will be screened for eligibility
  2. Elimination Round (if needed): Group Discussion (GD) or written test may be conducted depending on the number of candidates
  3. Personal Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed by a nominated KRCL committee

Responsibilities

  • Supervise erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of Signal and Telecom systems at railway project sites
  • Manage contract documentation, correspondence, reports, and project progress records
  • Inspect and oversee cable laying, signal foundations, location box foundations, and auto signalling works
  • Prepare and check daily progress reports and monthly contract bills
  • Follow safety rules and conduct safety meetings at work sites
  • Assist in site meetings, negotiations, and preparation of claim statements
  • Keep up to date with Indian Standards, circulars, and codal provisions relevant to S&T works
  • Handle quality assurance and serve as technical representative for third-party inspections

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/IT/Communication/CSE/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or M.Sc. Electronics

Preferred Qualification

AutoCAD experience is desirable for Sr. Project Engineer and Project Engineer posts
