Who Can Apply?

For PG Senior Residents (Primary Preference):

  • Registration: You must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC).

For Non-PG Senior Residents (If PG Candidates Not Available):

  • Qualification: MBBS degree with at least 2 years of experience in a recognized 100-bedded hospital, including 1 year in the concerned specialty.
  • Note: Non-PG Senior Residents will be engaged for 6 months only (extendable on a 6-monthly basis). They are considered only when PG candidates are not available in that specialty.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 45 years as on the last day of submission of application.
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 50 years)
  • OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 48 years)
  • PwD: 10 years relaxation (up to 55 years)

Salary

  • PG Senior Residents will receive salary at Pay Matrix Level-11 with a basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month.
  • Plus usual allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA as admissible under MCD rules.
  • Note: Contract employees are not entitled to benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Treatment, Seniority, Promotion, or accommodation that are available to regular government servants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care to patients admitted in the assigned specialty department at Mata Gujri Hospital.
  • Assist senior consultants during ward rounds, surgical procedures, and outpatient clinics.
  • Handle emergency cases and critical patients during duty hours, including night shifts and weekend duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, case histories, treatment charts, and discharge summaries.
  • Follow hospital infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures at all times.
  • Participate in academic activities such as case presentations, journal clubs, and clinical meetings organized by the department.
  • Supervise and guide junior residents and interns working in the department.
  • Manage medico-legal cases as per hospital policy and cooperate with administrative requirements for reports and documentation.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

MBBS + PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/Diploma/MDS) from recognized university, registered with Delhi Medical Council

Preferred Qualification

Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS) in the concerned specialty preferred over PG Diploma or Non-PG candidates

Marking Pattern for Senior Resident Selection

Your selection will be based on a 25-mark evaluation. There is no written exam -- the entire assessment happens on the day of the walk-in interview.

  • PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB): You will get 20 marks out of 25 for holding a postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty.
  • PG Diploma: If you hold a PG Diploma instead of a full degree, you will receive 17 marks out of 25.
  • Non-PG with 2 Years Experience: Candidates without a PG qualification but with 2 years of relevant hospital experience will receive 14 marks out of 25.
  • Performance in Interview: The remaining 5 marks are awarded based on your performance during the interview.
  • Total Marks: 25
