The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is filling up 1 Supervisor post in the Secretariat Security Organisation (SSO) on a deputation basis. Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Supervisor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a vacancy circular to fill 1 post of Supervisor in the Secretariat Security Organisation, an attached office of MHA. This is a deputation post — only serving Central or State Government officers can apply. Who Can Apply?

  • The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (2 July 2026).
  • No specific minimum age is prescribed beyond the standard service requirement.

Salary

  • Selected candidate will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400 per month) as per 7th CPC.
  • You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances admissible to deputationists as per Central Government rules.
  • This is a Group B Gazetted post offering high prestige and central government benefits.

Selection Process

Selection is on the basis of:

  1. Application Screening: Applications received in duplicate through proper channel will be screened by MHA.
  2. Document and Service Record Review: Vigilance and administrative approval, ACRs of the last 5 years, and educational certificates will be reviewed.
  3. Panel Selection: A panel of suitable officers will be drawn up by MHA. There is no written exam or interview.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise reception and visitor management at the Ministry of Home Affairs and Secretariat Security Organisation premises
  • Coordinate with security staff and verify visitor credentials before entry to restricted zones
  • Maintain registers of visitors, dignitaries, and official guests of the Ministry
  • Handle telephone enquiries, route calls, and assist senior officers with appointments
  • Operate computer systems for visitor pass generation and security record-keeping
  • Supervise junior reception staff and prepare daily duty rosters
  • Coordinate with security forces during VIP movement and high-alert situations
  • Prepare daily reception reports and incident logs for review by senior officers

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute

Preferred Qualification

10th Class with Hindi or English subject from a recognised Board; Certificate or Diploma in Computers (minimum 1 year duration)
