National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), A Navratna Company under the Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 01 (NFL)/2026 for engagement of Management Trainees across six disciplines. Selection is through an Offline OMR Based Examination followed by Personal Interview. Fresh engineering graduates, MBAs and chartered accountants can apply for these all-India postings under the E-1 grade.

Who Can Apply?

Management Trainee (Marketing)

• Two years full-time MBA / PGDBM / PGDM in Marketing, Agribusiness, International Business, Food & Agribusiness, Rural Management or Foreign Trade with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD/Departmental).
• OR B.Sc Agriculture (60%) with M.Sc Agriculture specialization, from UGC/AICTE/ICAR-recognised institutes.

Management Trainee (F&A)

• Final pass in CA (ICAI) or ICWA/CMA (ICAI Cost Accountants), OR two-year regular MBA/PGDM with major specialization in Finance/Financial Management with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Management Trainee (Materials)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engg in Mechanical or Material Science & Engineering with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) from AICTE/UGC institutes.
• OR two-year MBA/PGDM with specialization in Materials Management / Logistics / Supply Chain with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Information Technology)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engg in Computer Science or Information Technology, OR full-time MCA with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Management Trainee (Electrical)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engg in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD), OR AMIE in Electrical Engineering from a recognised government institute.

Management Trainee (Chemical)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engg in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Chemical Process Technology with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD), OR AMIE in Chemical Engineering from a recognised government institute.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 27 years as on cut-off date 30/04/2026
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC (NCL): 3 years, PwBD (UR): 10 years, PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years, PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• J&K Domicile (01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989): 5 years
• Departmental candidates: Upper age 40 (UR), 43 (OBC), 45 (SC/ST)
• Maximum age after all relaxations: 56 years

Salary

• Pay Scale (E-1): Rs. 40,000 – 3% – Rs. 1,40,000 per month
• Basic Pay during one year training: Rs. 40,000 per month
• After successful training, regularised as Officer at basic pay of Rs. 41,200 per month
• You will also get Industrial DA, HRA / Company Accommodation, Performance Related Pay, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical Facilities, Group Personal Accident Insurance and other allowances

Selection Process

Selection happens in two stages:

1. Offline OMR Based Examination: 150 questions of 1 mark each in 2 hours. 100 questions from your discipline/qualification course curriculum and 50 questions on General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & General Knowledge. Medium: Hindi and English. No negative marking.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 per vacancy. You must score minimum 50% average in both OMR test and Interview.

Final Merit Formula: 80% weightage to Offline OMR Test + 20% weightage to Personal Interview.

• Undergo one year of structured training at NFL Units/Offices in Nangal, Bathinda, Panipat, Vijaipur or Noida HQ
• Assist senior officers in your assigned discipline — Marketing, Finance, Materials, IT, Electrical or Chemical operations
• Learn and apply technical, commercial and managerial practices specific to the fertilizer industry
• Handle day-to-day tasks like reports, vendor coordination, plant operations or marketing activities as per discipline
• Follow company rules, safety norms and standard operating procedures at all units
• Prepare project work and present learnings during periodic training reviews
• Work at any Unit, Office or Joint Venture of NFL anywhere in India after regularisation
• Execute a 3-year service agreement bond of Rs. 4,50,000 after training completion
