National Health Mission (NHM), Zilla Parishad Satara has released a contract recruitment notification for 34 posts of Super Specialists, Specialists, and Medical Officers (MBBS) under various national health programmes including NMHP, IDSP, NPCDCS, NPHCE, IPHS, and NBSU. Posts are purely contractual for 11 months and 29 days — there is no permanent status or service protection. Eligible doctors can walk in directly for interview with their documents.

Who Can Apply?

For Cardiologist:

• Qualification: DM (Cardiology) from a recognised university
• Council Registration: Valid registration with Maharashtra Medical Council mandatory

For Psychiatrists:

• Qualification: MD Psychiatry / DPM / DNB in Psychiatry

For Microbiologist:

• Qualification: MD Microbiology preferred. If MD holder not available, MSc Medical Microbiology with minimum 5 years' experience is acceptable (salary: Rs. 40,000)

For Physician / Consultant Medicine:

• Qualification: MD Medicine / DNB (General Medicine)

For ENT Surgeon:

• Qualification: MS ENT / DORL / DNB (ENT)

For Pathologist:

• Qualification: MD Pathology / DNB / DPB

For Medical Officer (MBBS):

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised university
• Registration: Valid Maharashtra Medical Council registration required

• Domicile: You must be a resident of Maharashtra
• Fitness: You must be physically and mentally fit for the post
• Criminal record: No criminal cases should be registered against you
• Only government / semi-government / NHM experience counts for merit — private sector experience is not considered

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 70 years for Cardiologist, Psychiatrists, Microbiologist, Physicians, ENT Surgeon, Pathologist (as on notification date 16 April 2026)
• Maximum age: 80 years for Medical Officer (MBBS) posts
• Serving NHM employees get 5 years' age relaxation over and above the upper limit
• Reserved category candidates: upper age limit is 43 years (open category: 38 years) for this contract recruitment

Salary

• Cardiologist: Rs. 1,25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Specialists (MD/MS/DNB): Rs. 75,000 per month (consolidated)
• Microbiologist (MSc + 5 yrs exp): Rs. 40,000 per month
• Medical Officer (MBBS): Rs. 60,000 per month (consolidated)
• These are consolidated amounts — no separate DA or HRA as per NHM contract norms
• Appointment is for 11 months and 29 days only. No permanent service rights.

Selection Process

Selection is through a Walk-in Interview — no written exam:

1. Document Screening: Submit your application with all documents at the NHM office, Zilla Parishad Satara on 29 April 2026 by 10:30 AM. Applications received after 10:30 AM will not be considered.
2. Walk-in Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for direct interview on 29 April 2026 at 11:00 AM at National Health Mission, Zilla Parishad Satara.
3. Merit Scoring (Interview Panel): The panel evaluates you on: Subject Knowledge (10 marks), Research & Academic Knowledge (10), Leadership Quality (10), Administrative Abilities (10), Experience (10 — 2 marks/year govt exp, 1 mark/year private exp, max 5 years counted)
4. Note: If posts remain vacant after selection, the second Wednesday of the following month will serve as a fresh walk-in date.

• Provide clinical care to patients admitted in the assigned ward or programme unit at District Hospital Satara
• Handle OPD and IPD duties as per the programme requirements (Dialysis, SNCU, DEIC, etc.)
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and programme registers as required by NHM guidelines
• Coordinate with nursing staff, paramedics, and programme managers for day-to-day health service delivery
• Prepare monthly reports and submit data to the programme coordinator and district health authorities
• Follow all NHM protocols, clinical guidelines, and infection prevention practices at all times
• Participate in health camps, community outreach programmes, and training sessions as assigned
• Assist in mentoring junior health staff and providing technical guidance within the programme
