Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a degree in M.Sc., MS, MCA, B.E., or B.Tech from a recognized university or institution.
• Eligible Fields: Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, and Informatics.
• GATE Requirement: You must hold a valid GATE score for the year 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• Accepted GATE Papers:

Age Limit

• Note: In NIC's previous recruitment cycle, the upper age limit was 30 years for UR/EWS candidates, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month under Pay Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) as per Central Government rules.
• The total in-hand salary, including all allowances, can go significantly higher depending on your posting city.

Application Fee

• Note: In NIC's previous recruitment, the fee was Rs. 800 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, and SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates were exempted.

Selection Process (No Separate Written Exam)

NIC does not conduct its own written exam for this post. Your GATE score is the deciding factor:

1. GATE Score Based Merit: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their valid GATE 2024/2025/2026 score in CS, EC, or DA papers. Higher the GATE score, better your chances.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of educational certificates, GATE scorecard, age proof, category certificates, and other documents.
3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates will need to pass a medical fitness test as per government norms.

There is no interview round. Your GATE score alone determines your position in the final merit list.
