The National Institute of Technology Calicut, one of India's premier technical institutions located in Kozhikode, Kerala, is looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to handle accounting and financial operations for its Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning and Design. This is a contractual position initially for one year, which can be extended up to three years based on your performance and the institute's requirement. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Full-time B.Com or M.Com degree with CA or CA (Intermediate)
• Good knowledge of Tally accounting software, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet

Experience

• You need a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience

Other Requirements

• Indian citizenship is mandatory
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in regional languages
• Only certificates from Government or Government-recognized institutions will be accepted

Salary

• Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month (consolidated)
• The exact salary within this range depends on your experience at the time of appointment
• Contract duration: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance

Selection Process

1. Interview — You will be assessed on your knowledge and suitability for the role
2. Skill Test — The selection committee may conduct a skill test to check your accounting and software proficiency
3. Trade Test — A practical trade test may also be conducted at the committee's discretion

You must bring original certificates and a government-issued photo ID when you appear for the selection process. No TA/DA will be paid.
