Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV), Hirli, Agnipur, Nabarangpur District has released an official notification to build a panel of guest teachers on a part-time contractual basis. The school operates under the Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha, and is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. Who Can Apply?

For All PGT Posts:

• Option 1: Two-year Integrated Post Graduate course with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates) in the relevant subject
• Option 2: Master's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PH) in the relevant subject
• Mandatory: Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed) from an NCTE-recognized institution affiliated to a recognized university

For All TGT Posts:

• Option 1: Four-year Integrated Degree course from an NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) in the relevant subject
• Option 2: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) along with a B.Ed recognized by NCTE
• Desirable: Proficiency in teaching in both Odia and English medium, plus knowledge of computer applications

Special Requirements for Specific Subjects:

• PGT Computer Science: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, or B.E./B.Tech + PG Diploma in Computer Science, or M.Sc in Computer Science/MCA, or DOEACC B/C Level + PG Degree
• TGT Mathematics: B.Sc with at least 200 marks in math as a subject, with any two from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application Statistics, and Electronics
• TGT Sanskrit: Bachelor's degree with Sanskrit as Honours Subject or Shastri with 50% marks + a Sikhya Shastri course recognized by NCTE
• TGT Hindi: B.A. with Hindi as Honours subject + Hindi Teacher Training Certificate (BH.Ed.) from recognized institutes

Note: Candidates who have qualified CTET conducted by CBSE will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 65 years
• This age range makes the posts suitable for both fresh B.Ed holders and retired teachers looking for part-time opportunities

Salary

• PGT at Hard Station: Rs 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• PGT at Normal Station: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• TGT at Hard Station: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• TGT at Normal Station: Rs 20,000 per month (consolidated)

The pay is consolidated and no separate allowances like DA, HRA, or TA are provided for contractual guest teachers.

Selection Process

1. Application Screening: All applications received by the deadline will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear before the selection board on 16 April 2026 at 8:30 AM with all original documents
3. Merit-Based Selection: Final selection is based on academic merit. There is no written exam or interview — your marks and qualifications determine your rank in the panel

Important: If you fail to appear before the selection board for document verification, your candidature will be automatically rejected.

4. Paste a recent colour passport-size photograph on the application form and sign across it

• Handle regular classroom teaching activities including taking classes, explaining concepts, and clearing doubts of students in the assigned subject
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and teaching aids as per the CBSE curriculum for the classes assigned to you
• Assist in copy checking, evaluation of answer sheets, and grading of student assignments and examinations
• Work as an invigilator during internal and external examinations conducted by the school
• Help students and fellow teachers in organizing curricular and co-curricular activities within the Vidyalaya
• Follow the academic calendar and complete the syllabus within the prescribed time frame set by the school administration
• Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by the Principal from time to time
