These positions are part of the state's initiative to establish and operate de-addiction centres under the control of the Director of Medical Education (DME), Vijayawada. Who Can Apply?
Project Coordinator cum Vocational Counselor
- Qualification: Graduation from a recognised institute
- Experience: At least 3 years of managing de-addiction or similar centres, with demonstrated capability in running such facilities
- Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers is required
Peer Educator
- Qualification: Should be literate
- Special Condition: Must be an ex-drug user with 1-2 years of sobriety
- Should be willing to work among the drug-using population and have good communication skills
- Must agree to refrain from buying or selling drugs and be ready to work for prevention of drug use and relapse
Chowkidar
- Qualification: SSC / 10th Class or equivalent from a recognised board, preferably from Andhra Pradesh
- Gender: Male candidates only
House Keeping Staff (Full Time)
- Qualification: SSC / 10th Class or equivalent from a recognised board, preferably from Andhra Pradesh
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in house keeping
Yoga Therapist / Dance / Music / Art Teacher (Part Time)
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the respective discipline (Yoga, Dance, Music, or Art)
District jurisdiction is limited to the erstwhile Prakasam District boundaries. Candidates must apply from their respective erstwhile districts only.
Age Limit
- You should be between 18 and 42 years old as on 01 January 2026.
- SC, ST, BC, and EWS: 5 years relaxation (maximum age 47 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years relaxation in addition to the length of armed forces service
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years relaxation
- Maximum age limit with all relaxations combined: 52 years
Salary
- Project Coordinator cum Vocational Counselor: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
- Peer Educator: Rs 10,000 per month (consolidated)
- Chowkidar: Rs 9,000 per month (consolidated)
- House Keeping Staff: Rs 9,000 per month (consolidated)
- Yoga Therapist / Dance / Music / Art Teacher: Rs 5,000 per month (consolidated, part-time)
These are consolidated pay amounts on contract basis. The initial contract tenure is for one year from the date of joining.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based entirely on merit. There is no written exam or interview. Your final score is calculated out of 100 marks as follows:
- Academic Marks (75%): 75% of your total marks from the qualifying examination or its equivalent. For CGPA holders, marks are calculated as CGPA x 9.5 (multiplying factor) x 75%.
- Weightage for Experience (up to 10 marks): 1 mark per completed year after acquiring the required qualification, counted up to the notification date.
- Contract Service Weightage (up to 15%): Weightage for candidates already working on contract basis, including COVID-19 service. Area-based weightage: 2.5 marks per 6 months (Tribal), 2.0 marks per 6 months (Rural), 1.0 marks per 6 months (Urban).
A provisional merit list will be published on 13 April 2026, with the final selection list displayed on 29 April 2026.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and administration of the Drug De-Addiction Centre
- Provide vocational counseling and rehabilitation support to patients undergoing de-addiction treatment
- Conduct peer education sessions and awareness programs on drug abuse prevention
- Maintain security of the centre premises and ensure safety of patients and staff
- Keep the centre clean and hygienic as per hospital standards
- Conduct yoga, dance, music, or art therapy sessions to aid patient recovery
- Prepare daily reports and maintain records of patients and centre activities
- Follow all guidelines issued by the Director of Medical Education (DME) and hospital authorities
