ONGC Associate Consultant (LAQ/RoU) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Tripura Asset has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for engagement of a retired Revenue Officer as Associate Consultant on contract basis. The role covers land acquisition, Right of Use (RoU), and forest clearance related work in ONGC's operational areas across Tripura. No written exam — selection is purely through walk-in interview and overall assessment of experience, local language skills, communication, and fitness. The contract runs till 28 February 2030 or until the consultant attains the age of 68, whichever is earlier.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

Experience

• You must have minimum 3 years of work experience as TCS Officer Grade-1 or Grade-2 in the Revenue Department, Government of Tripura.
• You must be a retired TCS Officer Grade-1 / Grade-2 from Tripura Government service.

Other Requirements

• Sufficient knowledge of computer is required.
• Knowledge of Bengali and English languages is essential.
• You must be in reasonably good health as the role involves extensive field visits in and around ONGC's operational areas in Tripura.
• Selected candidates will be allowed to join only if found medically fit by I/c Medical Services, ONGC, Tripura Asset, Agartala.
• Posting will be anywhere in Tripura State as required.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 68 years
• Contract ends at age 68 or on 28 February 2030, whichever is earlier.

Salary

• Total consolidated monthly pay: Rs. 68,000 (Rupees Sixty Eight Thousand only)
• Rs. 40,000 — Monthly Honorarium
• Rs. 13,000 — Conveyance Reimbursement
• Rs. 13,000 — Reimbursement for office at residence (Secretary, Peon, etc.)
• Rs. 2,000 — Monthly reimbursement for communication (Cell Phone, Landline, Internet)

Note: 80% of the monthly honorarium and all reimbursements are paid monthly. The remaining 20% of the honorarium is paid after performance assessment at the end of the engagement period. An annual increment of 5% applies in the 2nd and 3rd year of engagement. No TA/DA or other benefits beyond the fixed pay are admissible.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single-stage Walk-in Interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Candidates are assessed based on relevant work experience, expertise in revenue matters, knowledge of local language (Bengali/English), communication skills, health, and fitness. Interview is on 24 April 2026 at OOMS Hall, ONGC South Colony, Badharghat, Agartala.
2. Medical Fitness Check: Selected candidates must clear a medical fitness examination by I/c Medical Services, ONGC, Tripura Asset before joining.

Important Dates

• Liaise with State Government regarding temporary and permanent acquisition of land for ONGC's operational activities in Tripura
• Collect and deposit relevant documents from/to the Revenue Department of State Government related to land and crop compensation
• Assist Incharge LAQ, ONGC Tripura Asset in various land acquisition issues
• Visit field and meet farmers, village representatives, and Panchayat on land acquisition related issues
• Handle Government Land Records to ensure entries for land acquired by ONGC on temporary/permanent basis and RoU
• Remove encroachments from ONGC land and manage affected parties through negotiation
• Prepare reports for spillages/accidents and file FIRs with local police on behalf of ONGC when required
• Handle any other land acquisition or RoU related tasks assigned by Incharge LAQ/CA-RoU
