Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Jammu, operating under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, is looking to hire one Consultant (Ayurveda) on a purely contractual basis. The institute is located at Rajinder Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu-181123. Selection is based entirely on interview performance with no written examination required. Experienced Ayurveda professionals with postgraduate qualifications in Shalya (Surgery) should consider this opportunity.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: You must hold a BAMS degree from a recognised university or institution.
• Postgraduate Degree: You need an M.S. (Shalya) degree from a recognised university.
• Experience: You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience after BAMS.
• Registration: You should be enrolled on the Central Register of MCI or State Register of Medical Council.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 April 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates in Government Services will get age relaxation as per Central Government rules.

Salary

• Selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• No allowances such as TA/DA are admissible during the appointment period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based entirely on your performance in the walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: You will be evaluated based on your qualifications, experience, and overall performance during the interview at RARI, Jammu.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates, experience documents, and identity proofs will be verified on the day of the interview.

The appointment is initially for a period of 6 months, which may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the competent authority. The engagement will be co-terminus with the institute.
