RITES Limited, a NavRatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, is a premier multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of transport, infrastructure, and related technologies. This recruitment drive aims to fill 5 vacancies across three IT specializations on a regular (permanent) basis. Selected candidates will be posted at any location in India or abroad as per the company's requirements.

Marks requirement: UR/EWS candidates need first class (60% marks). SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates applying against reserved posts need minimum 50% marks.

Experience

You need at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in the areas mentioned in the job description for each specialization. Training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, or PhD research experience will not be counted.

Selection Process

The selection has 3 stages, and the overall weightage is — Written Test 60% + Interview 40%.

  1. Written Test125 objective questions, 1 mark each, total 125 marks, duration 2.5 hours. No negative marking. PwBD candidates get 50 minutes extra. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD. The written test will be held at 6 centres: Delhi/Gurgaon, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati.
  2. Document Scrutiny — Shortlisted candidates' documents will be verified. You must upload all supporting documents during the online application.
  3. Interview — Candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:6 to vacancies. Interview has 40 marks (Technical & Professional Proficiency: 30, Personality & Communication: 10). Minimum qualifying: 60% for UR/EWS, 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD.

You can appear for the selection process in Hindi or English. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination as per RITES rules.

Responsibilities

  • Handle firewall configuration, network security posture evaluation, and recommend hardening measures for core network services including DHCP, DNS, and VPN
  • Manage endpoint security solutions (EDR/XDR/DLP), incident analysis, and risk mitigation across the organization's IT infrastructure
  • Work on object-oriented programming, software development following SDLC, and manage relational databases and SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, ABAP systems
  • Maintain and monitor Windows Server, Linux, and Enterprise server environments including installation, configuration, tuning, and performance management
  • Manage virtualized environments using VMware vSphere (ESXi and vCenter) and Microsoft Hyper-V, including VM creation, migration, and backup
  • Monitor data centre infrastructure including servers, rack-level power, cooling, network devices, UPS, precision air-conditioning, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Assist in planning and implementing cybersecurity improvements aligned with DPDP Act compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and execute disaster recovery plans, business continuity strategies, and regular system maintenance including hardware/software upgrades
