Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), an Institution of National Importance established by the Parliament of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has announced recruitment for 3 non-teaching positions on a regular (permanent) basis through direct recruitment. RRU is located in Lavad-Dehgam, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and specializes in education and research related to national security and policing. These are permanent positions with an initial tenure of 5 years, after which the staff will receive permanent appointment till the age of superannuation. All 3 vacancies are unreserved (UR) category posts filled through open competition on an all-India basis.

Who Can Apply?

For Registrar (Pay Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

  • Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent 'B' grade in UGC seven-point scale).
  • Experience (any one of the following):
  1. At least 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post
  2. At least 15 years as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above
  3. At least 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor, along with experience in educational administration
  4. Comparable experience in research establishments or institutions of higher education

For Finance Officer (Pay Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

  • Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent 'B' grade in UGC seven-point scale).
  • Alternative Qualification: CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com (Accountancy/Finance) with 55% marks from a recognized university.
  • Experience (any one of the following):
  1. At least 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar or equivalent
  2. At least 15 years as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above
  3. At least 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor
  4. 15 years of experience involving sound knowledge of Central Govt. Rules relating to Accounts/Audit, Service Conditions, Treasury and Finance, out of which at least 8 years in Pay Level 12 or above
  5. 15 years in an Accounting and Auditing firm, with at least 10 years' experience after obtaining CA/Cost Accountant degree

Preference will be given to candidates with M.Com/MBA(Finance)/ICWA/CA/SAS or appropriate experience in financial management.

For Research and Administrative Assistant (Pay Level 5 - Rs. 29,200/month):

  • Qualification: You need a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
  • Computer Knowledge: You must have a Certificate course in MS Office or Computer Application.
  • Language: English as a subject up to 12th Standard and working knowledge of Hindi.
  • Mode of Recruitment: Through Competitive Examination.

Age Limit

  • Registrar: Not exceeding 56 years
  • Finance Officer: Not exceeding 55 years
  • Research and Administrative Assistant: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years
  • Age will be calculated as on 13 April 2026 (last date of application).
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years | OBC-NCL: 3 years | PwBD: 10 years | PwBD+OBC: 13 years | PwBD+SC/ST: 15 years | Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deducting military service) | RRU Staff: 5 years | J&K Domicile (1980-1989): 5 years

Salary

  • Registrar and Finance Officer: Pay Level 14 with initial basic pay of Rs. 1,44,200 per month (maximum up to Rs. 2,18,200).
  • Research and Administrative Assistant: Pay Level 5 with initial basic pay of Rs. 29,200 per month (maximum up to Rs. 92,300).
  • You will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per Central Government rules.
  • Additional benefits include Medical, LTC, Children's Education Allowance, and National Pension System (NPS).

  • Research and Administrative Assistant: Rs. 500/-

Selection Process

For Registrar and Finance Officer:

  1. Shortlisting of Applications: The university may shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
  2. Interview: May also involve written test, skill test, personal interview, and/or group discussion.
  3. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of or before appearing for the interview.

For Research and Administrative Assistant:

  1. Competitive Examination: Selection through a written competitive exam along with various skill tests.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring inter-departmental programs and activities
  • Coordinate with statutory bodies, government agencies, and regulatory authorities on university matters
  • Support research activities and provide administrative assistance to academic departments

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Master's Degree with 55% marks + 15 years experience (Registrar/Finance Officer) OR Bachelor's Degree with 55% marks + MS Office Certificate (Assistant)

Preferred Qualification

CA/ICWA/MBA(Finance)/M.Com for Finance Officer; Good knowledge of Central Govt. rules and regulations; English and Hindi fluency

Required Skills

Administrative experience, knowledge of accounting principles, MS Office proficiency, English and Hindi communication skills

Exam Pattern

The selection process varies by post:

Registrar and Finance Officer

Selection is primarily through shortlisting and interview. The interview may also include a written test, skill test, personal interview, and/or group discussion. The university will shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum requirements.

Research and Administrative Assistant

Selection is through a competitive examination along with various skill tests. Details about the number of questions, marks, and duration will be announced separately by the university.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the Written Test/Skill Test/Interview.
