The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is hiring 1 Private Secretary at its Head Office in New Delhi on deputation basis (Foreign Service terms). UIDAI Private Secretary Recruitment 2026 -- 1 Post
UIDAI, established under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, works under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). It is responsible for developing the policy, procedure and systems for issuing Aadhaar numbers and performing authentication. This vacancy circular (VC ID: 19659, dated 17.02.2026) invites applications from eligible officers for 1 post of Private Secretary on deputation at UIDAI Head Office, 4th Floor, Bangla Sahib Road, Behind Kali Mandir, Gole Market, New Delhi.
Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualification
You need to be a serving government officer who meets any one of the following conditions:
- Central Government officers holding analogous posts (equivalent to Private Secretary) on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department
- Officers with 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 -- Rs. 1,42,400) of the 7th CPC
- Officers with 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 -- Rs. 1,12,400) of the 7th CPC
- State Government / UT Government / PSU / Autonomous Organisation officers holding regular posts in corresponding grades with the required experience
Important: Only officers who have completed at least 5 years of total government service can apply. You must also have a minimum residual service of 3 years as on the closing date.
Desirable Qualification
- Experience in Office Management / Secretarial Assistance / Stenography work
- Basic skills for working in a computerized office environment
Note: Since this post is filled on deputation basis, private candidates are not eligible. Only serving government officers can apply through proper channel.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of application (20.03.2026 for eligibility purposes)
Salary
- Pay Matrix Level 8 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Basic Pay range: Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Currently at 58% of basic pay
- HRA: 30% of basic pay (Delhi is classified as X city)
- Transport Allowance: Rs. 3,600 per month (higher rate for Delhi)
- Estimated gross salary: Approximately Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 95,000 per month at entry level
- Pay protection is available as per DoPT rules for deputation
- Medical facilities under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) or UIDAI Medical Reimbursement Scheme
- Residential accommodation may be available at Aadhaar Housing Complex, DDU Marg, New Delhi

- Manage scheduling, appointments, and meetings for the assigned officer
- Prepare notes, summaries, and draft replies on official matters
- Assist in coordinating with various divisions, ministries, and external agencies
- Maintain records, files, and databases in a computerized office environment
- Follow up on pending matters, parliament questions, and VIP references
- Monitor and track important deadlines and ensure timely action on all references
