Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E. or B.Tech in Bio-Medical Engineering, or an M.Sc in Bio-Medical Instrumentation (or equivalent) from a recognised university or institute.
• Experience: You must have at least 1 year of work experience in the relevant field after completing your degree, calculated as on 01 April 2026.
• Language: You should be proficient in speaking and writing Bengali.
• Domicile: Reservation and age relaxation benefits apply only to candidates with valid West Bengal domicile certificates. Certificates from other states are not accepted for reservation purposes.
• Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit

• You should not be above 40 years of age as on 01 April 2026.
• OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation (up to 43 years)
• SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years)
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years)

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 28,000 per month.
• The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of 1 year.
• The contract will be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance.
• No TA/DA will be provided during the recruitment process.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Verification of Original Testimonials: Your original documents including educational certificates, experience proof, age proof, and identity documents will be verified.
2. Practical Proficiency Test: You will be assessed on your practical skills and knowledge of bio-medical equipment and instrumentation.
3. Interview: A personal interview to evaluate your suitability for the role.

There is no written examination for this recruitment.

• Handle installation, calibration, and maintenance of bio-medical equipment in government hospitals and healthcare facilities across West Bengal
• Monitor the performance of medical devices and instruments to ensure they operate within safe and accurate parameters
• Assist doctors and medical staff with the proper usage and troubleshooting of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment
• Prepare technical reports and maintain records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures for handling sensitive medical instruments
• Work with vendors and suppliers to coordinate equipment procurement, warranty claims, and annual maintenance contracts
• Report equipment malfunctions and breakdowns promptly, and arrange for timely repairs or replacements
