No. AIIMS/GKP/RECT/FACULTY/2026-27/28) for 83 faculty positions. Who Can Apply?

Common Essential Qualification

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognised under the IMC Act 1956 or by NMC for practice of medicine in India
• MD or MS (recognised under IMC Act/NMC) in the subject of the post, or qualification recognised by NMC as equivalent for employment as Teacher in a Medical Institution
• For Super-speciality posts: DM or MCh in the subject of the post (or NMC-recognised equivalent)

Experience by Designation

• Professor: 14 years teaching experience after qualifying degree. For Super-speciality: 12 years (2/5-year course) or 11 years (3/6-year course)
• Additional Professor: 10 years teaching experience. For Super-speciality: 8 years or 7 years
• Associate Professor: 6 years teaching experience. For Super-speciality: 4 years or 3 years
• Assistant Professor: 3 years teaching experience. For Super-speciality: 1 year (2/5-year course) or no additional experience (3/6-year course)

SC/ST candidates get a one-year experience relaxation as per DoPT rules.

Age Limit

• Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years as on closing date
• Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years as on closing date
• Age reference date: 8 June 2026 (last date of application)
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC - 3 years, PwBD (OPH) - 5 years, Government Servants/Ex-Servicemen - 5 years (only for posts reserved for these categories)

Salary

Selection Process

Selection is based on shortlisting and interview - no written examination:

1. Online Application Screening: Based on essential qualification, experience and research record
2. Shortlisting by Search-cum-Selection Committee: Based on bio-data submitted with the application
3. Interview: Held at AIIMS Gorakhpur. No TA/DA payable. Candidates must produce all original documents
4. Document Verification: At the time of interview, in original with self-attested photocopies
5. Medical Fitness Check: Final appointment subject to medical fitness

Appointment is subject to a probation of 2 years. During the first 2 years of joining, NOC will not be issued for applying elsewhere.
