The District AYUSH officers of Amethi — the Regional Ayurvedic and Yunani Officer (Amethi/Sultanpur) and the District Homeopathic Medical Officer — have jointly announced recruitment for part-time yoga instructors. These positions are being filled under the National Ayush Mission to promote yoga and wellness services through government dispensaries across Amethi district. The recruitment covers 08 posts under Ayurvedic dispensaries and 06 posts under Homeopathic dispensaries. Local residents of Amethi district will be given preference for these positions.

Who Can Apply?

You need any one of the following qualifications to be eligible:

• Option A — BNYS: Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (5-year course) from a recognised university, with 1 year of experience
• Option B — Yoga Degree: B.A. (Yoga) / B.Sc. (Yoga) — 3-year degree, OR M.A. (Yoga) / M.Sc. (Yoga) degree, with 1 year of experience
• Option C — PG Diploma: Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga (minimum 1-year course), with 2 years of experience
• Option D — Yoga Certification Board: "Yoga Wellness Instructor" certificate from the Yoga Certification Board, New Delhi, with 1 year of experience

Local residents of Amethi district will be given preference for the instructor post.

Work experience certificate from the relevant degree/diploma/certificate issuing authority is required.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 21 years old and not more than 65 years old.
• Age calculated as on: 15 April 2026 (Ayurvedic posts) / 16 April 2026 (Homeopathic posts)
• Only healthy candidates of Amethi district who are physically and mentally fit to deliver yoga-related health services will be considered eligible.

Salary / Honorarium

• Male Yoga Instructors: Rs 8,000 per month (part-time honorarium)
• Female Yoga Instructors: Rs 5,000 per month (part-time honorarium)
• This is a contractual, part-time position under the National Ayush Mission, renewable on a yearly basis.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Your educational certificates, experience certificates, age proof, caste certificate, and domicile certificate will be verified by the interview/selection committee.
2. Merit-Based Selection: A selection committee will prepare the merit list based on your qualifications and experience. The committee's decision will be final.

Note: There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is purely based on merit and document verification.

Work Requirements

• Male Yoga Instructors must conduct a minimum of 32 yoga sessions per month, with each session lasting at least 1 hour.
• Female Yoga Instructors must conduct a minimum of 20 yoga classes per month for female groups, with each session lasting at least 1 hour.
• You will work at the allotted AYUSH Health Wellness Centre (Ayurveda/Homeopathy dispensary) and follow the schedule set by the concerned officer.
• Attendance will be verified, and the contract can be terminated without prior notice if performance is found unsatisfactory.

• Conduct daily yoga sessions at the assigned AYUSH Health Wellness Centre or dispensary
• Prepare and follow a structured yoga class schedule approved by the supervising officer
• Teach breathing exercises, asanas, and meditation techniques to community members
• Maintain attendance records of participants and submit monthly reports
• Promote yoga and wellness awareness among local residents through workshops and demonstrations
• Follow the guidelines issued by the National Ayush Mission for conducting yoga programs
• Report to the allotted AYUSH dispensary on time and complete the required number of sessions each month
