CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, a premier research institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited applications for one Project Research Scientist-I position. This is a purely temporary, project-based engagement under an ICMR-funded project focused on developing site-specific drug delivery systems for triple negative breast cancer therapy. Selection will be through an online interview via MS Teams — no written exam is expected unless screening is needed. Pharmacy postgraduates specializing in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Technology should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a First-class Post-Graduate degree — MPharm or MS (Pharm) — in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognised university or its equivalent.
• Preferred: Candidates who have cleared GPAT, GATE, or any other national-level examination will be given preference.
• Language: You can appear for the interview in English or Hindi.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age will be calculated as on the date of the interview.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Stipend

• You will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,000/-.
• HRA will be paid additionally if institutional accommodation is not available or not provided by CSIR-IIIM.
• This is a consolidated amount — no separate DA or other allowances apply.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through an interview. A written screening test may also be conducted if the number of applicants is large.

1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened and a shortlist of eligible candidates will be published on 14 April 2026.
2. Online Interview (MS Teams): Shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview on 17 April 2026 (Friday) via Microsoft Teams.
3. Document Verification: Original documents including educational certificates, date of birth proof, caste certificate, and age relaxation certificate will be verified upon selection.

General Information

• The appointment is initially for one year and can be extended based on project requirements and the candidate's performance. The current project duration is up to three years.
• Total engagement, including work in all CSIR labs, shall not exceed five years.
• These are purely temporary positions under the sponsoring project. They do not confer any right for regular appointment at CSIR-IIIM or any CSIR/CSIR-IIIM lab.

• Conduct research on site-specific drug delivery systems for breast cancer therapy
• Prepare and characterize pharmaceutical formulations including nanoparticles and targeted delivery systems
• Perform in-vitro and in-vivo experiments related to tumor-associated macrophage repolarization
• Maintain detailed laboratory records and prepare research reports
• Assist the Principal Investigator in planning experiments and analysing data
• Operate and maintain advanced pharmaceutical and analytical instruments
• Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
