Age Limit

  • Age Relaxation:
  • ST candidates: 5 years (up to 30 years)
  • PwBD candidates (40% or more disability): 10 years (up to 35 years)
  • PwBD + ST candidates: 15 years (up to 40 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting actual military service from age
  • Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated (not remarried): up to 35 years

Salary

  • Selected candidates will draw a salary of Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month under Level-1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.
  • You will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) as per Central Government rules.
  • Additional benefits include New Pension Scheme (NPS), Medical Reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Conveyance Advance, and House Building Advance.
  • CSIR employees are also eligible for residential accommodation as per CSIR Residence Allotment Rules (HRA not admissible if accommodation is provided).

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

  1. Written Examination (OMR / Computer-Based MCQ): 150 objective-type multiple choice questions for 450 marks in 2 hours. Standard is Class X level. Questions will be in English, Hindi, and Odia (except English Language section). Negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer applies.
  2. Skill Test / Trade Test (if applicable, as per CSIR guidelines)
  3. Document Verification

The exact mode of selection will be notified by CSIR-IMMT in due course. All tests will be held in Bhubaneswar.

Exam Pattern

  • General Intelligence: 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks each)
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks each)
  • General Awareness: 50 questions, 150 marks (3 marks each)
  • English Language: 50 questions, 150 marks (3 marks each)

Total: 150 questions, 450 marks, 2 hours. One negative mark for every wrong answer. Exam language: English, Hindi, and Odia (English section in English only).

Responsibilities

  • Handle opening and closing of office sections and departments on a daily basis
  • Keep all furniture, equipment, and office premises clean and maintained
  • Receive, sort, and dispatch Dak (mail), diaries, and official correspondence
  • Carry files, documents, and records between sections and departments as required
  • Assist with photocopying, stock entry, inventory management, and maintenance of vouchers and registers
  • Serve tea and coffee to visitors, officials, and guests during meetings
  • Manage guest house operations including check-in, check-out, room preparation, and hospitality duties
  • Perform shift duties including locking and unlocking of laboratories, keeping log books, and managing vehicle requisitions and keys
