Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL), Goa has invited applications for 03 posts of Technician (Diesel) and Navigational Assistant Grade-III. The Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL), Goa is looking to fill 3 vacancies for Technician (Diesel) and Navigational Assistant Grade-III roles under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Key Highlights

Selection Process
Your journey starts with a written examination that tests your technical knowledge relevant to the post you have applied for. Candidates who clear the written test will then be called for a trade test or skill test to demonstrate practical abilities. The final stage involves document verification where all your original certificates will be checked. Keep in mind that no TA/DA is provided for appearing in the exam or trade test, except for unemployed SC and ST candidates who get reimbursement as per rules.

- Two passport-size colour photographs -- one pasted on the form and one extra stitched to the application, taken within 3 months of application date with white/light background
- Matriculation/HSC certificate (self-attested copy) as proof of date of birth
- Educational and technical qualification certificates with mark lists (self-attested copies)
- Caste/Community certificate if applicable, attested by Gazetted Officer
- Discharge certificate for Ex-Servicemen candidates (self-attested photocopy)
- Disability certificate as per Annexure-III format for PwD candidates
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in any Government department or PSU
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and overhaul diesel generator sets at lighthouse stations to ensure uninterrupted power supply for navigational aids
- Handle installation, servicing, and repair of air compressors, battery chargers, and related mechanical equipment
- Monitor and maintain electronic navigational equipment including radar beacons, DGPS systems, and communication devices
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of lighthouse equipment as per standard operating procedures
- Maintain technical logs, prepare maintenance reports, and assist senior officers during equipment upgrades
- Serve at any lighthouse station across India including remote coastal and island locations as required by the Directorate
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Matriculation with 4 years apprenticeship and 2 years experience OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electronics / Telecommunication / ECE / EEE
Preferred Qualification
Practical experience in installation, maintenance and overhauling of Diesel Generator Sets, Air Compressors, Battery Chargers
