The State Rural Employment Society - District Implementing Division (SRES-DID), East Garo Hills, Williamnagar has released an official advertisement (Ref: DRDA/EGH/RGSA-220/2021-22/13-A) for filling 1 Programme Assistant vacancy. This position is under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), a Central Government scheme aimed at strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions across India. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You need a Post Graduate degree from a recognized University or institution
• Your PG must be in one of these subjects: Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Agricultural Economics, or Rural Development

Experience

• You must have minimum 2-3 years of work experience in Rural Development or related fields

Domicile

• Only residents of Meghalaya are eligible to apply

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years

Salary

• Fixed salary: Rs. 25,000/- per month
• This is a consolidated pay (no separate allowances mentioned)

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two stages:

1. Written Test (Screening) — This will be held on 24 April 2026 at 11:00 AM sharp in the D.C. Office Multipurpose Conference Room (Room No. 58), East Garo Hills, Williamnagar. Only shortlisted candidates from the written test will move to the next round.
2. Personal Interview — Candidates who clear the written test will be called for an interview. The date for the interview will be notified later.

Note: No TA/DA will be provided to candidates appearing for the screening test and personal interview.

• Assist in planning and implementing Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) activities at the district level
• Coordinate with Panchayati Raj Institutions for capacity building and training programmes
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and data related to RGSA scheme implementation
• Monitor field activities and collect data from Gram Panchayats and Block offices
• Work closely with MGNREGS Cell and DRDA officials on rural development initiatives
• Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, and awareness campaigns at the district and block level
• Maintain records and handle correspondence related to the RGSA programme
