The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has announced the document verification schedule for Village Panchayat Secretary (Talati Cum Mantri) posts under the Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This forms part of the larger PwBD recruitment drive launched on 21 January 2026 to fill 1,251 Class-III vacancies across multiple cadres. The competitive examination was conducted on 18 February 2026 in Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. Candidates in the provisional merit list (189 SR numbers) must now report for original document verification.

Who Should Attend?

Eligibility: Only candidates whose names appear in the Provisional Merit List published on 11 May 2026 at gpssb.gujarat.gov.in.
Category: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) who applied under the Special Recruitment Drive.
Original Post Qualification: 12th Standard pass with computer knowledge from a recognised board.

Original Age Limit (at time of application)

Age limit: 18 to 33 years (general); up to 43 years for PwBD candidates with applicable relaxation.
Age was calculated as on the cut-off date specified in the original advertisement.

Salary (Post-Selection)

Fixed pay during probation: Rs. 19,950 per month for 5 years
After probation: Regular pay scale Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 - Rs. 63,200) plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Gujarat Government rules.

Verification Process

Selected candidates must complete these steps on the verification date:

Reporting: Reach the GPSSB office at the assigned time slot (10:30 AM for SR No. 1-100, 12:00 PM for SR No. 101-189).
Document Submission: Submit original certificates with two sets of self-attested copies.
Verification: Board officials will verify all qualifications, age proof, caste, PwBD status, and identity documents.
Final Merit: Based on verification, the final merit list and posting orders to village panchayats will follow.

Important: Candidates who fail to appear on the scheduled date will be deemed to have permanently withdrawn their candidature. No future claims will be entertained by the Board.

Special Note: Candidates selected in both Junior Clerk (ADVT 13/2025-26) and Talati Cum Mantri (ADVT 14/2025-26) must attend verification on 18 May 2026 only — bringing two separate document sets for both posts. No separate appearance is needed on 19 May 2026.

Check your name and SR No. in the Provisional Merit List at gpssb.gujarat.gov.in.
Download the email sent to your registered email ID with annexure of documents.
Fill the Attestation Form (Nomuno-1) and Educational Qualification Sheet (Nomuno-2).
Take a printout of your online application form.
Arrange originals + 2 self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
Reach the GPSSB office, Block No. 02, 5th Floor, D-Wing, Karmayogi Bhavan, Sector-10/A, Gandhinagar-382010 on time.

Responsibilities

Maintain village panchayat records, registers, and revenue accounts
Collect land revenue, taxes, and government dues from villagers
Prepare birth and death certificates and maintain the village register
Implement central and state government welfare schemes at village level
Coordinate between gram panchayat, gram sabha, and district administration
Prepare minutes of gram sabha and gram panchayat meetings
Assist Sarpanch and panchayat members with administrative work
Handle land records, mutation entries, and village mapping work

Exam Pattern

The original Talati Cum Mantri competitive exam was conducted in CBRT (Computer Based Recruitment Test) mode on 18 February 2026. The exam was held in MCQ format covering Gujarati grammar, English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and subject-specific topics relevant to village panchayat administration.
