For Project Scientific Assistant-B (Rs 63,900/month):

  • Qualification: Full-time B.Sc./B.S. in Science or Mathematics with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA

For Project Assistant (Rs 41,100/month):

  • Qualification: Full-time Graduate with 50% marks from any recognized University
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in clerical duties in a large organization

  • Computer Knowledge: Required (with certificate from government-recognized institution)

For Project Tradesman-B (Rs 41,100/month):

  • Qualification: NTC in Fitter/Electrician/Electronics with 60% marks from NCVT + 2 years experience, OR NAC in same trades with 60% marks + 1 year experience

For Project Work Assistant (Rs 32,300/month):

  • Qualification: Passed SSC (10th) or equivalent + minimum 1 year experience

For Clerk Trainee (Rs 22,000/month):

  • Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University
  • Typing and Computer Knowledge: Required

For Technical Trainee - Civil (Rs 23,000/month):

  • Qualification: Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute

For Tradesman Trainee - Carpenter / Plumber (Rs 18,500/month):

  • Qualification: ITI (NTC) with 60% marks from NCVT in Carpenter or Plumber trade respectively

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 28 years as on 01 January 2026 for all UR posts
  • Maximum age: 31 years as on 01 January 2026 for the OBC post (Project Scientific Assistant-B, D&T Education Group)
  • SC, ST and OBC candidates applying for unreserved posts are not eligible for age relaxation

Stipend / Honorarium

  • Project Scientific Assistant-B: Rs 63,900 per month (inclusive of HRA Rs 9,558)
  • Project Assistant: Rs 41,100 per month (inclusive of HRA Rs 5,859)
  • Project Tradesman-B: Rs 41,100 per month (inclusive of HRA Rs 5,859)
  • Project Work Assistant: Rs 32,300 per month (inclusive of HRA Rs 5,400)
  • Clerk Trainee: Rs 22,000 per month
  • Technical Trainee (Civil): Rs 23,000 per month
  • Tradesman Trainee (Carpenter/Plumber): Rs 18,500 per month

Note: These are project/trainee positions. The staff will not be entitled to Institute-provided accommodation.

Selection Process

Selection will be through walk-in interview. HBCSE reserves the right to conduct written tests and skill tests along with the interview for any or all posts:

  1. Walk-in Selection / Interview: Appear at HBCSE Mankhurd on your post's designated date between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM
  2. Written Test (for some posts): The D&T Education Group post specifically mentions a written test on the day of the interview covering reasoning, scientific literacy, creative thinking, and general knowledge
  3. Teaching Demo (for some posts): D&T Education candidates may be asked to deliver a teaching demo on any Class 5-10 science topic

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and testing of science and mathematics learning materials for school-level education
  • Handle administrative tasks including file management, data entry, and record keeping
  • Prepare project reports, training records, and official correspondence
  • Assist with fabrication and maintenance of experimental apparatus in physics laboratories
  • Manage inventory, storage operations, and document records
  • Work on civil engineering site supervision, BOQ preparation, and AutoCAD drawings
  • Assist in conducting workshops, outreach programmes, and teacher training sessions
  • Maintain buildings, carry out carpentry and plumbing works as assigned by department engineers

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

SSC (10th Pass) to B.Sc./B.S. depending on post

Preferred Qualification

M.Sc. in Science/Mathematics, B.Ed, B.Des/M.Des, knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D printing, programming languages (Python/C++/FORTRAN)

Required Skills

Computer knowledge, MS Office, typing skills (for some posts), workshop/laboratory skills (for technical posts)
