India Government Mint (IGM), a unit of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), has announced 94 vacancies across its four mints in Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida under Advertisement No. IGMN-01/2026. This drive covers both fresh and backlog vacancies for 16 different posts — ranging from supervisory roles for engineering graduates to technician positions for ITI holders. Who Can Apply?

For Supervisor Posts (S-1 Level):

• Supervisor (Assay): Full-time B.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized university
• Supervisor (T.O. Mechanical): Full-time Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Supervisor (T.O. Electrical): Full-time Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Supervisor (T.O. Metallurgy): Full-time Diploma or B.Tech in Metallurgy from a recognized institution

For Engraver (B-4 Level):

• ITI in the relevant trade or Diploma in Fine Arts/Sculpture/Metal Works from a recognized institute

For Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant, Junior Hindi Typist & Laboratory Assistant (B-3 Level):

• Junior Office Assistant: Graduation in any discipline with computer typing proficiency
• Junior Bullion Assistant: Graduation in any discipline
• Junior Hindi Typist: Graduation with Hindi typing speed as prescribed
• Laboratory Assistant: B.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent

For Junior Technician Posts (W-1 Level):

• You must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) from a recognized board
• ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade — Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Carpentry, Goldsmith, Melter, or Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)

Age Limit

• Supervisor posts: You should be between 18 and 30 years old
• Engraver, Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant, Junior Hindi Typist, Laboratory Assistant: You should be between 18 and 28 years old
• Junior Technician (all trades): You should be between 18 and 25 years old
• Age calculated as on: 27 April 2026 (closing date of application)

Age Relaxation:

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation in upper age limit
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules

Salary

• S-1 Level (Supervisor posts): Rs. 27,600 to Rs. 95,910 per month under IDA pay scale
• B-4 Level (Engraver): Rs. 23,910 to Rs. 85,570 per month
• B-3 Level (Junior Office Assistant, Bullion Assistant, Hindi Typist, Lab Assistant): Rs. 21,540 to Rs. 77,160 per month
• W-1 Level (Junior Technician — all trades): Rs. 18,780 to Rs. 67,390 per month
• You will also receive DA, HRA, Medical, Canteen Subsidy and other allowances as per SPMCIL rules

Selection Process

The selection will be done in multiple stages depending on the post:

1. Online Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective-type questions covering General Awareness, Professional Knowledge and Aptitude. This is the first screening stage for all posts.
2. Skill Test / Trade Test: Applicable for specific posts — practical trade test for Junior Technicians, and skill test for clerical posts.
3. Typing Test: Applicable for Junior Office Assistant and Junior Hindi Typist positions to verify typing speed and accuracy.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates and documents will be checked against the application details.
5. Medical Examination: Candidates must be medically fit as per SPMCIL standards.

• Handle assigned production, quality control or administrative tasks at the designated India Government Mint unit.
• Operate and maintain machinery, equipment and tools related to coin minting, bullion processing or engraving operations.
• Follow standard operating procedures for safety, quality assurance and environmental compliance in the mint facility.
• Assist senior officers in day-to-day operations including record keeping, documentation and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain logs, registers and production reports as required by the department.
• Work in coordination with team members across different sections to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor raw materials, inventory and supplies required for smooth functioning of the assigned section.
