Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa), an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament in 2016, has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals for 5 Non-Teaching positions on its campus at Farmagudi, Ponda, Goa. The recruitment covers three different posts across Group B and Group C categories under Advertisement No. IITGoa/RECT/2026/02. All posts are regular (permanent) positions with a one-year probation period. Who Can Apply?

1. Junior Engineer (Civil) - Group B, Pay Level 6

• Option A: 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and 6 years of experience after diploma
• Option B: B.Tech / B.E. or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and 3 years of experience after degree
• Applicants with integrated M.Tech / M.E. degree are also eligible. For those with a full-time Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, up to 2 years of the program duration counts as experience.

2. Superintendent (Nursing) - Group B, Pay Level 6

• Option A: 3-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and 6 years of experience in a hospital recognized by the Central or State Nursing Council
• Option B: 4-year B.Sc. (Nursing) or equivalent degree recognized by the Central or State Nursing Council with at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and 3 years of experience in a Registered Hospital
• For those with a full-time Master's Degree in the respective discipline, up to 2 years of the program duration counts as experience.

3. Administrative Assistant - Group C, Pay Level 4

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent CGPA grading

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 57 years for all posts (across all cadres of the Institute)
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for reserved category applicants, applicable only if vacancies are reserved for that particular category
• PwBD Relaxation: Up to a maximum of 56 years of age. Ex-servicemen relaxation as per rules
• Internal Candidates: Relaxation up to 57 years for applicants working in the Institute on non-regular/contract basis, provided they have served for at least 5 years

Salary

• Junior Engineer (Civil) and Superintendent (Nursing): Pay Level 6 - Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (entry pay Rs. 35,400)
• Administrative Assistant: Pay Level 4 - Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (entry pay Rs. 25,500)
• You will also get DA, HRA, NPS contribution, Medical facility, Leave Travel Concession, Children Education Allowance and other allowances as per Government of India rules applicable to IIT Goa

Application Fee

• Group B posts (Junior Engineer, Superintendent): Rs. 300
• Group C posts (Administrative Assistant): Rs. 200
• SC / ST / PwBD / Female candidates: No fee (fully exempted)
• Note: Fee is non-refundable. If you want to apply for more than one post, you need to pay separately for each

Selection Process

Selection for all posts will be based on a written test, as per the recruitment rules:

1. Written Examination: For Pay Level 6 (Group B) and Pay Level 4 (Group C) posts, the selection will be based on the written test. This may include a Written Test, Computer Based Test, and/or Trade Test as deemed fit by the Institute
2. Shortlisting: If the number of applications is large, the Institute may set additional criteria for shortlisting based on academic performance, experience, or other factors
3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be found medically fit as per Institute requirements
4. Document Verification: The Institute will verify all documents and antecedents during the tenure of service

• Handle civil engineering works including planning, estimation, and supervision of construction and maintenance projects on campus
• Manage nursing and healthcare services at the Institute's medical centre, including patient care and record keeping
• Prepare official correspondence, letters, reports, and maintain office records and files
• Assist senior officers with day-to-day administrative work and file processing
• Enter data into government software systems and maintain digital records
• Monitor ongoing infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Coordinate with departments for smooth functioning of administrative and technical services
