Selection Process

Selection happens in two phases. Phase I is an online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) — a computer-based MCQ test with no negative marking, available in 13 languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. If you clear the CEE, you move to Phase II — a recruitment rally where you face a physical fitness test (1.6 km run, pull-ups, zig-zag balance, 7-ft ditch jump), physical measurement, medical exam, and document verification.

Preparation Tips for Indian Army Agniveer CEE

  • GD candidates get 50 MCQs in 60 minutes — that is about 72 seconds per question, so practice speed
  • Technical/Clerk/Tradesman categories get 100 MCQs in 2 hours — focus on your weakest subject first
  • No negative marking — attempt every question, never leave any blank
  • Practice the 1.6 km run daily — you need to finish under 7 minutes 30 seconds for full marks
  • Download previous year CEE papers from joinindianarmy.nic.in for practice
  • Take at least 5-10 mock tests to build exam-day confidence and speed

Documents You'll Need

Key documents to keep ready:

  • Aadhar Card (mandatory — biometric verification at rally site)
  • 20 passport-size colour photos on white background (not older than 3 months)
  • Domicile/Nativity Certificate with photo (from Tehsildar/District Magistrate)
  • Unmarried Certificate with photo (from Village Sarpanch/Municipal Corporation, within last 6 months)
  • Affidavit on Rs. 10 Non-Judicial Stamp Paper (mandatory for rally entry)
