The Welfare Officer plays a key role in looking after the well-being and welfare of the Secretariat employees. Who Can Apply?

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (standard deputation age limit)
  • Age relaxation as per Government of India rules for deputation posts

Salary

  • Pay Level: Level 10 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
  • Basic Pay Range: Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 per month
  • Entry Pay: Rs 56,100 per month
  • This is equivalent to the pre-revised Pay Band PB-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs 5,400
  • You will also receive DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other allowances as per Central Government rules
  • Deputation allowance will be paid as per DoP&T rules in addition to the regular pay

Selection Process

The selection for this deputation post will involve:

Responsibilities

  • Handle the welfare activities and welfare schemes for Lok Sabha Secretariat employees and their families
  • Manage staff amenities including canteen services, recreation facilities, and common areas in the Parliament House complex
  • Assist employees with welfare-related queries regarding medical facilities, housing, and leave entitlements
  • Prepare and coordinate the implementation of employee welfare programs and initiatives
  • Monitor grievances related to staff welfare and liaise with relevant departments for timely resolution
  • Follow up on welfare cases including medical emergencies, bereavements, and compassionate support to employees
  • Work closely with the Personnel Section and Administration Branch on welfare policy implementation
  • Keep records and submit periodic reports on welfare activities and expenditure to senior management

Minimum Qualification

Degree from a recognized University with relevant experience in welfare or personnel management

Preferred Qualification

Post Graduate Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Personnel Management, or Public Administration
