MPSC Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has invited online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment to three distinct posts under different state government departments in Meghalaya. This is Advt. No. 01/2026, dated 17 March 2026. The posts are spread across the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Directorate of Sericulture & Weaving, and the Directorate of Housing. Vacancy Details

Category-wise Reservation: Vacancies are distributed between Khasi-Jaintia (KJ) and Garo regions as per Meghalaya State Reservation Policy.

Who Can Apply?

For Wireman Instructor (Post Code 01):

• Qualification: You need a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any recognised polytechnic or institution.

For Publicity Assistant-cum-Khasi Translator (Post Code 02):

• Qualification: You must be a Graduate in Mass Communication with knowledge of Khasi and Jaintia languages.
• Additional: You should have knowledge and experience in the application of Computer/Information Technology.

For Investigator (Post Code 03):

• Qualification: You need HSSLC (12th pass) or equivalent with Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics as one of your subjects.

You must have acquired the required qualification on or before the last date of application (17 April 2026).

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 32 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
• Government Employees: No age bar for regular government employees who entered service within the prescribed age limit.
• PwD Relaxation: Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Government notification dated 18 January 2023.

Salary

• Wireman Instructor (Level 11): Entry pay of Rs. 67,700 per month under the Revised Pay Structure, going up to Rs. 2,08,700.
• Publicity Assistant-cum-Khasi Translator (Level 8): Entry pay of Rs. 47,600 per month under the Revised Pay Structure, going up to Rs. 1,51,100.
• Investigator (Level 5): Entry pay of Rs. 29,200 per month under the Revised Pay Structure, going up to Rs. 92,300.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Meghalaya Government rules.

Application Fee

• Posts 01 & 02 (Wireman Instructor, Publicity Assistant): Rs. 350
• Post 03 (Investigator): Rs. 320
• SC/ST (Meghalaya permanent residents): Half of the above fee
• PwD candidates: No fee (exempted subject to furnishing disability certificate)
• Payment modes: e-Challan (cash payment at SBI) or online (Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking via GRAS portal)

Selection Process

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Screening Test (MCQ): A written test of 300 marks in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. The subjects and marks vary by post (see Exam Pattern below). Exam centres are at Shillong, Tura, Jowai, Williamnagar, and Nongstoin.
2. Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the Screening Test will be called for a personal interview. You must bring all original documents relating to education, date of birth, caste, and community certificates.

2. If you are a first-time applicant, complete the one-time registration process.
3. Log in and click on the advertised vacancy you want to apply for.
4. Fill in the online application form with your personal and educational details.
5. Upload your photo and other required documents.
6. Pay the application fee through e-Challan or online mode.
7. Submit the application and take a printout for your records.
