National Book Trust, India (NBT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is recruiting for Programme Associate and Programme Coordinator positions on a contractual basis through a manpower agency. These positions are based in Nagpur and Pune, Maharashtra, and involve working in the field of book promotion and reading activities with children. Knowledge of Marathi is mandatory for both posts, reflecting the regional focus of these roles. Candidates with relevant experience in children's activities will have a strong advantage.

Who Can Apply?

For Programme Associate (Rs. 40,000-45,000/month):

• Qualification: You need a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience: You should have 3 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in activities related to children and book promotion in Maharashtra.
• Language: Knowledge of Marathi is essential.

For Programme Coordinator (Rs. 30,000-35,000/month):

• Qualification: You need a Graduate degree in any discipline. Knowledge of Library Science is preferred.
• Experience: You should have 1 to 2 years of work experience, preferably in activities related to children and book promotion in Maharashtra.
• Language: Knowledge of Marathi is essential.

Age Limit

• Programme Associate: Maximum age is 35 years
• Programme Coordinator: Maximum age is 30 years
• Age will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary

• Programme Associate: Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month
• Programme Coordinator: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month
• These are contractual positions through a manpower agency, initially for 3 months which can be extended based on the Trust's requirements.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Only candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be shortlisted. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.
2. Interview / Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or written test. No TA/DA will be paid for attending.
3. Document Verification: Selected candidates will need to provide original certificates, degrees, and a medical fitness certificate.

Note: Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview call. NBT reserves the right to shortlist candidates.
