Who Can Apply?

These positions are open only to serving government employees. You must currently be working in a Central Government department, State Government, Union Territory, PSU, autonomous body, statutory organization, university, or recognized research institution.

For Senior Principal Private Secretary (Level 12):

  • You should hold an analogous post on regular basis, OR
  • Have at least 2 years of regular service in a post at Level 11 or equivalent

For Principal Private Secretary (Level 11):

  • You should hold an analogous post on regular basis, OR
  • Have at least 5 years of regular service in a post at Level 8 or equivalent

For Private Secretary (Level 8):

  • You should hold an analogous post on regular basis, OR
  • Have at least 3 years of regular service in a post at Level 7 or equivalent

For Stenographer (Level 4):

  • You should hold an analogous post on regular basis, OR
  • Have at least 3 years of regular service in a post at Level 2 or equivalent

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 56 years as per standard deputation norms
  • Since this is a deputation posting, the standard upper age limit of 56 years applies to all categories.

Salary

  • Senior PPS: Level 12 — Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
  • PPS: Level 11 — Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month
  • Private Secretary: Level 8 — Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
  • Stenographer: Level 4 — Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month
  • Plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) and other allowances as per Central Government rules
