National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced recruitment for 1 Principal Technical Officer (ICT) post. This is a regular non-faculty appointment at Pay Level 14, one of the senior-most technical positions at the institute. The role requires seasoned IT professionals with hands-on experience in full-stack web development, ERP systems, network administration, and cloud technologies.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc./MCA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Application with First Class (6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 60% marks) and a consistently excellent academic record.
• Experience (Essential): You must have at least 15 years of experience as a Scientific Officer, Technical Officer, or equivalent post. Out of these, at least 8 years should be at the level of Sr. Scientific Officer or Sr. Technical Officer in PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600 or equivalent, in a Central or State Government Department, Autonomous Body, University, Institution of National Importance, or PSU.
• Relevant Skills: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, MVC framework, Java technologies (J2EE, JSP, JDBC), full-stack web development (HTML5, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap), ERP development and implementation, Linux administration, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, HPC, Network Administration, LAN and Internet Security, and Learning Management Systems.
• Qualifying Degree: Must be completed within the normal stipulated duration.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of application (15 April 2026).
• Since this post is earmarked for the Unreserved (UR) category, no age relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, or other reserved categories.
• However, eligible candidates from all categories and communities are encouraged to apply.

Salary

• Selected candidate will draw a salary of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month under Pay Level 14 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government and NIT rules.
• Additional benefits include medical facilities, on-campus residence (subject to availability), LTC, Children Education Allowance, NPS, Group Insurance, and leave as per CCS Leave Rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Screening Test (if required): NIT Raipur reserves the right to conduct a screening test before the interview if the number of applications is high.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Selection will be based on your performance in the interview.
3. Document Verification: Original documents along with one set of self-attested copies must be produced at the time of interview for verification.
4. Medical Examination: The appointment is subject to being found medically fit through a medical examination by the institute's medical board.

3. Fill in the prescribed application form completely in block letters.

6. Put all documents in an envelope super-scribed with "Application for the post of Principal Technical Officer (ICT)".

• Supervise the implementation and upkeep of Learning Management Systems for academic use
• Coordinate with departments for IT support, database administration, and software development needs
• Prepare technical specifications, project proposals, and IT policy documents for the institute
