Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is looking to fill one post of Deputy Commissioner (Finance) at its headquarters in Sector 62, Noida on deputation basis. NVS runs over 660 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India, providing quality residential education to talented rural children. This is a senior-level finance position and the selected officer will draw pay at Level 12 of the 7th Pay Commission. Applications must be routed through proper channel from the parent department.

Who Can Apply?

You must be serving as an officer in any of the following organizations:

• Central Government
• State Government
• Semi-Government
• Autonomous or Statutory organizations

Eligibility Route 1 (Analogous Post):

• You should be holding an analogous post on regular basis at Pay Level 12.

Eligibility Route 2 (Promotion Channel):

• You should have at least 5 years of service in Pay Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700) of 7th CPC.

Essential Experience:

• You must possess experience in handling accounts matters in a responsible capacity.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 56 years as on 31 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: NVS employees applying for internal deputation get a relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit.

Salary

• The post is in Pay Level 12 (Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix.
• You can choose to draw either your pay from the parent department plus Deputation (Duty) Allowance, or have your pay fixed by NVS in the scale of the post as per Government of India instructions.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written examination for this post. Selection will be based on:

1. Screening of Applications: NVS will shortlist candidates based on eligibility criteria and ACRs/APARs for the preceding 5 years (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25).
2. Interview / Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interaction to assess their suitability for the role.
3. Document Verification: All original documents will be verified before the final selection.

NVS reserves the right to adopt a suitable criterion for shortlisting candidates and to draw a select panel.

2. Fill in all details in the prescribed proforma and affix a recent passport-size colour photograph.
3. Get your application forwarded through your parent department / proper channel.
4. Your forwarding authority must certify that your particulars are correct and that no vigilance or disciplinary case is pending or contemplated against you.
5. Attach copies of ACRs/APARs for the preceding 5 years (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25).

• Manage the overall financial operations and budget of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti at the Headquarters level
• Handle accounts, audit matters, and ensure compliance with government financial rules
• Prepare annual budget estimates and monitor expenditure across NVS offices and schools
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Education and CAG on financial matters and audit observations
• Monitor the National Pension Scheme and CPF-related activities for NVS employees
• Assist the Commissioner in policy decisions related to finance and resource allocation
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and respond to parliamentary questions on finance matters
