About This Job

The One Stop Centre (OSC), Thulluru in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh needs 1 Para Legal Personnel/Lawyer on a contract basis. OSC Guntur Para Legal Personnel Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The District Women and Child Welfare and Empowerment Officer, Guntur has released the 3rd notification (No. RC.NO.36/A1/2026, dated 30.03.2026) for filling 1 vacant post of Para Legal Personnel/Lawyer at the One Stop Centre, Thulluru. One Stop Centres provide integrated support to women affected by violence -- including legal aid, medical help, and counselling under one roof. This is a contract position for an initial period of one year, which can be extended based on your performance and scheme continuation. The vacancy is reserved under Roster Point No. 2: SC (Group-II).

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

  • Degree in Law with legal training or knowledge of laws

Experience (any one of the following)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Government or Non-Government women-related project or programme at the district level, OR
  • A practicing Lawyer with at least 2 years of litigation experience in any court of law

Other Requirements

  • Only women candidates are eligible
  • You must be a resident of Guntur district with a valid domicile certificate
  • This post is reserved for SC category candidates (Roster Point: SC - Group II)

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 42 years
  • Age relaxation is available as per Government of Andhra Pradesh norms

Responsibilities

  • Inform and guide women about their legal rights and help them start legal proceedings against abuse or violence, if they choose to do so
  • Coordinate with the Public Prosecutor or the SLSA/DLSA Lawyer to support affected women even after their case has been filed in court
  • Follow up on court cases to make sure they reach a proper conclusion
  • Simplify legal procedures for affected women and advocate for their exemption from court hearings when possible
  • Assist in speedy and hassle-free police and court proceedings using video conferencing for recording statements
  • Work closely with the Centre Administrator and other OSC staff to provide complete support to women affected by violence

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Degree in Law with legal training or knowledge of laws

Preferred Qualification

Practicing Lawyer with at least 2 years of litigation experience in any court of law

Required Skills

Legal knowledge, litigation experience, understanding of women's rights and laws related to violence against women
