Prasar Bharati (India's Public Service Broadcaster) has issued a Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) bearing Advt No. NIA/2026/05/DDN dated 20.03.2026 for the contractual engagement of Anchor-cum-Correspondent Grade-I at New Delhi under DG: DD News. The engagement is purely on a full-time contract basis for one year, which may be renewed based on annual appraisal and organizational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced broadcast journalists who have a camera-friendly persona and strong command over news anchoring.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You need a Degree from a recognized university or institute.
• Professional Qualification: You also need a Degree or PG Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a relevant field from a recognized university or institute.
• On-Air Skills: You must have a camera-friendly face with a voice of very good quality suited for telecast, along with correct pronunciation, accent, and modulation.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Hindi will be preferred.
• Experience: You need at least 8 years of experience in the relevant field of broadcast journalism.
• Nationality: Indian Nationals Only.

Age Limit

• You should be below 45 years of age as on 20 March 2026 (date of notification).
• Age relaxation will be as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

• The monthly salary for Anchor-cum-Correspondent Grade-I is negotiable between Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 1,20,000.
• The final salary will be decided based on your experience and qualifications.
• This is a contractual engagement, so no pensionary benefits are applicable.

Selection Process

Prasar Bharati reserves the right to conduct any or all of the following stages to assess the skills, suitability, and personality of shortlisted candidates:

1. Screening of Applications: Initial shortlisting based on qualifications and experience.
2. Skill Test: May include written test, computer-based test, audition, screen test, video conferencing, voice modulation tests, or editing software proficiency checks.
3. Interview: Personal interview for shortlisted candidates to evaluate on-air presence, communication skills, and knowledge of current affairs.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test or interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email.
