Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• B.E. (Biomedical Engineering) or B.Tech (Biomedical Engineering), OR
• B.E. (Biomedical and Instrumentation Engineering) or B.Tech (Biomedical and Instrumentation Engineering)

Experience

• After passing the degree, you need at least 5 years since graduation and at least 2 years of work experience in hospital equipment, medical devices, or biomedical equipment-related services

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on the date mentioned in the notification)
• Age relaxation for reserved categories as per Gujarat Government rules:

• General Female: 5 years relaxation (up to 40 years)
• PwD candidates: 10 years relaxation (up to 45 years)

Selection Process

The selection for SMC Biomedical Engineer posts will be based on the following stages:

• Work with hospital staff to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and arrange timely repairs
• Follow standard operating procedures for biomedical equipment as per hospital safety guidelines
• Assist in procurement by evaluating technical specifications of new biomedical equipment
• Prepare reports on equipment status, downtime, and maintenance costs for the Health Department
