Trainee Analyst (Microbiology)

  • Essential: B.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized university

Executive - Sample Receipt Desk (Notification 51/2025)

  • Essential: Graduation/Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, along with computer knowledge
  • Experience: Two years as Trainee in any Sample Receipt Desk (SRD) of Spices Board, or similar work experience in other Government institutions

Age Limit

  • Project Fellow: Not more than 30 years as on the date of walk-in test
  • Project Assistant: Not more than 35 years as on the date of walk-in test
  • Trainee Analyst (Chemistry & Microbiology): Not more than 30 years as on the date of walk-in test
  • Executive (SRD): Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of walk-in test

Salary

  • Project Fellow: Rs. 21,000 per month (fixed)
  • Project Assistant: Rs. 25,000 per month
  • Trainee Analyst (Chemistry): Rs. 20,000 per month (stipend)
  • Trainee Analyst (Microbiology): Rs. 20,000 per month (stipend)
  • Executive (SRD): Rs. 25,000 per month (fixed)

All positions are on a contractual/training basis with a tenure of 1-2 years, extendable based on project requirements and performance.

Selection Process

  1. Walk-in Screening Test: Candidates need to appear at the designated venue on the walk-in date with all original documents and a filled-in application form (Annexure-I from the notification).

Responsibilities

  • Execute field experiments, record data, and assist scientists in ongoing research projects related to spice crops and quality evaluation.
  • Perform chemical analysis and microbial analysis of spices and spice products in the Quality Evaluation Laboratory.
  • Monitor field and laboratory trials, compile data, and assist in preparing research reports and publications.
  • Handle sample receipt, documentation, and tracking at the Sample Receipt Desk for quality evaluation purposes.
  • Assist in pesticide residue analysis, maintaining equipment calibration, and following standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare periodic reports, maintain laboratory records, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with senior scientists and executives to support ongoing research and quality assurance activities at ICRI and QEL centres.

B.Sc. (Chemistry/Agriculture/Microbiology) or M.Sc. in relevant disciplines; Any Degree for Executive SRD
