THSTI Research Assistant & Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is hiring for project positions at its Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) centre. These positions are for two important clinical research projects -- the ACTION-III Trial (a multi-country randomized trial on antenatal corticosteroids to improve newborn outcomes) and the MOMI India Phase-II (Genomics and Analysis planning project). Both projects are led by Dr. Nitya Wadhwa. Nursing professionals with relevant qualifications should attend the walk-in at THSTI Faridabad campus.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Research Assistant (ACTION-III Trial): 3 posts -- Rs. 32,000/month
• Staff Nurse (MOMI India Phase-II): 1 post -- Rs. 31,500/month

Who Can Apply?

For Research Assistant (3 Posts):

• Option 1: BSc (Nursing) from a recognized university
• Option 2: 12th Standard + Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or equivalent, and registered nurse or ANM
• Option 3: Nursing "A" Certificate with 3 years of experience in a hospital
• Option 4: Nursing Assistant Class III and above from the Armed Forces
• Desirable: 2 years of work experience in Obstetrics, Midwifery, Neonatology, or Nursery. Computer skills including MS Office proficiency. Good communication skills.

For Staff Nurse (1 Post):

• Qualification: 12th Standard + Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or equivalent, and registered nurse or ANM with any State Nursing Council
• Desirable: Experience in clinical research in maternal and child health. Experience performing anthropometry for mother or child. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Comfortable using laptops and tablets.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on the date of walk-in interview, i.e., 07 April 2026)
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 40 years)
• OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 38 years)
• PwBD (UR): 10 years relaxation (up to 45 years)
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years relaxation (up to 48 years)
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years relaxation (up to 50 years)
• Central Govt Servants: 5 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to service rendered in defence forces plus 3 years (minimum 6 months attested service required)

Salary

• Research Assistant: Rs. 32,000 per month (consolidated)
• Staff Nurse: Rs. 31,500 per month (consolidated)
• These are project-based positions. Extension depends on satisfactory performance and project tenure.

Selection Process

1. Written Test / Skill Test: You may be required to appear for a written or skill-based test on the day of the walk-in.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will face an interview at THSTI, Faridabad.
3. Document Verification: You need to carry original documents along with one set of photocopies for verification on the same day.

• Perform shift duties to provide 24x7 coverage for the clinical trial at the assigned hospital
• Screen and pre-screen women reporting for childbirth in the late preterm period for eligibility in the study
• Collect written informed consent from eligible study participants and assign correct interventions as per protocol
• Administer the assigned clinical intervention to enrolled participants and monitor outcomes
• Collect clinical data, complete case report forms (CRFs), and maintain laboratory records accurately
• Assist doctors in clinical examinations, procedures, and collection of biological samples including placental samples
• Schedule follow-up visits for enrolled mothers and newborns, and make reminder calls to parents or caregivers
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI) and coordinate with the Clinical Research Organization for corrective actions
