UPSSSC UPPCB Group C Recruitment 2026 - 115 Posts

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has invited online applications for 115 Group C posts under the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) through Advertisement No. 02-Exam/2026. This recruitment covers 8 different posts across scientific, technical, accounting, and legal categories. PET-2025 qualified candidates are the only ones eligible to apply for this competitive examination. Candidates with qualifications ranging from Intermediate (12th) to Post-Graduate degrees in relevant fields can apply based on the post they are targeting.

Who Can Apply?

Mandatory requirement for all posts: You must have appeared in PET-2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test) conducted by UPSSSC and received a valid scorecard. Candidates with zero or negative normalized scores in PET-2025 are not eligible.

For Junior Engineer (29 + 8 posts):

• You need a Diploma in Public Health/Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution

For Scientific Assistant (10 + 5 posts):

• You need a Post-Graduate degree in Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science from a recognized university

For Accountant/Auditor (22 posts):

• You need a Degree from a recognized university with Commerce subjects
• Plus one year of experience in accounting from any government or semi-government organization

For Law Assistant (4 posts):

• You need a Law Degree from a recognized university
• Plus three years of experience working as an Advocate

For Laboratory Assistant (2 posts) and Monitoring Assistant (35 posts):

• You need to have passed Intermediate (12th) with Science from a recognized board in Uttar Pradesh

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on the first day of the recruitment year.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories will get upper age relaxation as per UP Government rules issued from time to time.
• Government servants of UP State working in subordinate services can get up to 5 years of age relaxation on the upper limit.
• EWS: No additional age relaxation beyond the general relaxation applicable to the category.

Salary

• Junior Engineer and Scientific Assistant: Pay Level-6, salary from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200
• Accountant/Auditor and Law Assistant: Pay Level-6, Pay Band Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200
• Monitoring Assistant and Laboratory Assistant: Pay Level-2, salary from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per UP Government rules.

Application Fee

• All Categories (General/OBC/SC/ST): Rs. 25 (online processing fee only)
• Application fee is Rs. 0. Only online processing charge of Rs. 25 applies.
• Payment Mode: Online only through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan
• Freedom fighters' dependents, ex-servicemen, women, PwD, and outstanding sportspersons will pay the fee as per their parent category (serial 1 to 4).

Selection Process

Selection will happen in 2 stages:

1. PET-2025 Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Exam based on their PET-2025 normalized score. Up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies (per category) will be shortlisted. Candidates with the minimum cutoff normalized score (up to a decimal point of 2 places) will all be included.
2. Main Written Examination: A competitive written exam with 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions for 100 marks. You will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete it. Each question carries 1 mark. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks (25% of the marks for that question) for each wrong answer.

If the exam is held on more than one day or shift, normalization of scores will be done as per UPSSSC's published procedure dated 22 May 2019.

3. Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number via OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
4. Select the post(s) you want to apply for from the displayed list.
5. Fill in your educational qualification details, including board/university name, passing year, certificate number, and roll number.
6. Your photo and signature from PET-2025 will be shown automatically (you cannot change them).
7. Pay the fee of Rs. 25 online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.
8. Verify your Transaction ID through the "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification Mode" option.
9. Download and print your application form for future reference.
