Key Highlights

  • 81 of the 94 posts are for Junior Clerk/Cashier -- making this primarily a clerk-level recruitment drive, perfect for graduates and SSLC holders with cooperative diplomas
  • Multiple cooperative banks across Kerala are hiring through a single application window, so you can apply to more than one bank in one go
  • Pay scales range from Rs. 14,270 up to Rs. 68,810 depending on the post and the bank grade, with standard DA, HRA, and other allowances on top
  • Age relaxation available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC/EWS (3 years), PwD with 40%+ disability (10 years), and widows (5 years)
  • The application window is open from 5 March to 4 April 2026 -- giving you exactly one month to register and submit

Selection Process

CSEB conducts the recruitment in two stages. First comes a written examination with 100 objective-type questions worth 1 mark each, conducted either as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or through OMR sheets. If you clear the written test, your name goes to the respective cooperative bank or society, which then calls you for an interview worth up to 20 marks (minimum 4 marks required). Candidates belonging to the bank's operational district get 5 bonus grace marks on top of the interview score. The final rank list is prepared by combining written exam and interview marks.

Preparation Tips

  1. Focus on cooperative laws and banking basics -- questions on the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act and cooperative banking principles appear regularly in CSEB exams
  2. Brush up on general knowledge and current affairs related to Kerala, especially developments in the cooperative sector and state-level financial news
  3. Practice previous years' CSEB question papers -- the exam pattern has remained consistent, so older papers give you a realistic feel for difficulty and time management
  4. Do not ignore quantitative aptitude and reasoning -- these sections carry significant weight and can make or break your overall score

Documents You Will Need

  • Educational certificates -- SSLC, Plus Two, degree marksheets and certificates as applicable to your post
  • Cooperative qualification certificates -- JDC, HDC, HDCM, or B.Sc (Cooperation and Banking) certificate, whichever applies to your chosen post
  • Experience certificate -- required for Secretary, Data Entry Operator, and System Administrator posts, must be from a recognized institution
  • Age proof -- SSLC or birth certificate showing date of birth
  • Category certificate -- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD certificate if claiming reservation or age relaxation
  • Recent passport-size photograph and signature -- for uploading during online application
  • Aadhaar card and valid ID proof -- for identity verification during examination

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day banking and administrative operations of the assigned cooperative bank or society
  • Process member deposits, withdrawals, loan applications, and other financial transactions accurately
  • Maintain ledgers, cash books, and other accounting records as per cooperative society norms
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, audit compliance, and regulatory reporting
