Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB), Gandhinagar has released Advertisement No. 02/2026-27 for 112 Live Stock Inspector (Pashudhan Nirikshak) posts under direct recruitment. These are Class-3 Panchayat Service posts placed across various district panchayats in Gujarat. Selection is through a written competitive exam — objective MCQ type with 200 marks. Applications are accepted online via the OJAS portal from 16 April to 7 May 2026.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a 3-year Diploma in Animal Husbandry from a recognised Agricultural University or Veterinary Science University or Government Polytechnic.
• Language: You must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Domicile: Preference for Gujarat domicile candidates as per Panchayat Service rules.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 33 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/SEBC/EWS and Women candidates get relaxation as per Gujarat Government rules. PwBD and Ex-Servicemen also get age relaxation as per applicable norms.

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month for the first 5 years of service (as per Gujarat Finance Department resolution dated 18.10.2023).
• After 5 years, placement on the regular pay scale as per the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix.
• Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Gujarat Government rules.

• General (OC) candidates: Rs. 100 + 18% GST (paid via SBI E-Pay)
• SC / ST / SEBC / EWS / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD: No fee (fully exempted)

Selection Process

Selection is done in 2 stages:

1. Written Competitive Exam (Objective MCQ): 200 marks, 3 hours duration. Subjects include General Awareness, Gujarati Language and Grammar, English Language and Grammar, and Technical Questions related to Animal Husbandry. Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for verification of original documents and certificates.

Final selection is based on merit in the written exam, subject to document verification.
