The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB), Gandhinagar, has released notification no. 05/2026-27 for direct recruitment to 169 Mukhya Sevika (Class-3) posts in the Panchayat department. This is an exclusively female recruitment drive aimed at strengthening rural welfare and women and child development programs across Gujarat. Salary

• Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month for the first 5 years of service.
• After 5 years, the appointment shifts to the regular government pay scale as per Gujarat Government rules.
• Plus allowances as applicable under Gujarat Government rules after regularization.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 1 stage:

1. Written Competitive Examination (CBRT / OMR-based): Objective (MCQ) format. Total 150 marks. Duration: 90 to 120 minutes. Negative marking: 0.33 marks deducted per wrong answer. Questions cover General Awareness, Gujarati, English, and Technical/Job-related subjects.

Final selection is based on merit in the written exam. Document verification follows for shortlisted candidates.

• Supervise and coordinate rural welfare programs across assigned Panchayat areas

• Conduct awareness drives and community meetings on health, hygiene, and government schemes
• Guide and support Anganwadi workers and other field-level staff under the program
• Prepare and submit reports to senior officials on program progress and field observations
