Selection Process
The selection will be done through a single-stage competitive written examination:
- Written Examination (CBRT/OMR): A total of 210 multiple-choice questions carrying 210 marks will be asked. You will get 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete the paper. The exam has two parts — Part-A covers general subjects and Part-B covers your Ayurvedic Nursing specialization. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for each wrong answer. You must score at least 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B to qualify.
- Merit List Preparation: Based on the written exam scores, a merit list will be prepared for each category.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate and document verification.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients at government Ayurveda hospitals and dispensaries across Gujarat as per Ayurvedic treatment protocols.
- Assist Ayurveda medical officers and Vaidyas during patient examinations, Panchakarma therapies, and other Ayurvedic treatment procedures.
- Prepare and administer Ayurvedic medicines, decoctions, and herbal preparations as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Monitor patient vitals, maintain treatment records, and update case histories in the prescribed format.
- Keep the ward, treatment rooms, and equipment clean and properly maintained following hygiene standards.
- Guide patients and their families about prescribed Ayurvedic diet plans, lifestyle changes, and post-treatment care routines.
- Handle medical supplies, maintain stock registers for Ayurvedic medicines, and ensure proper storage of herbal drugs and formulations.
- Follow all administrative instructions and participate in health awareness camps and community health programs organized by the department.
